Abstract:
The invention provides a drying device for use in drying carpets, rugs after flooding or cleaning by a wet process. In addition, the drying device may be utilised for drying the fabric of dwelling, viz, the floors, walls, ceilings and under floor cavities after flooding. To these ends, the drying device, in one format is made up of opposed sheets (4, 6) of flexible material, e.g. plastic sheeting, co joined along peripheral edge portions (8, 10, 12, 14), one, or both, sheets being provided with a multiplicity of small apertures (24) over the whole, or substantially the whole area thereof The sheets (4, 6) are joined internally by apertured webs (18) extending along the drying device to form channels (20) between the sheets. Provision is made along the peripheral edge portions (8, 10, 12, 14) of the sheets (4, 6) to attach at least one air blower (26) and to attach further drying devices (2a, 2b) using a connector means (30, 38). The air blower(s) (26) may supply drying air at ambient temperature, or heated to approx. 85°, depending upon the drying requirements.

A web-enabled automation control module (ACM) includes an ACM central processing unit (CPU) and a web and file transfer system electrically connected to the ACM CPU, and embedded within the ACM. The system is configured to process hypertext transfer protocol (HTTP) requests from a network.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method of treating an excessive immune response including an aberrant/enhanced Th1 response by administering a helminthic parasite preparation in an amount sufficient to reduce the excessive immune response in an individual. This invention is generally directed to autoimmune diseases which involve an excessive immune response or an aberrant/enhanced Th1 response. More specifically, the present invention is directed to the treatment of Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, both known as IBD. While the present invention discloses specific information about the treatment of IBD, the disclosure is in no way limiting. Additionally, rheumatoid arthritis, type 1 diabetes mellitus, lupus erythematosis, sarcoidosis and multiple sclerosis can be treated by the methods and compositions disclosed therein.
Abstract:
A system for removing photoresist from semiconductor wafers is disclosed. The system utilizes a solid-state laser having wavelengths in the near-visible and visible portions of the electromagnetic spectrum to remove photoresist without requiring hazardous gases or wet solutions. In addition, the system does not damage the substrate being cleaned, nor leave a carbon residue requiring further processing to remove. The system uses photon energy, oxygen, water vapor and ozone to interact with contaminants on a surface, forming a gas reaction zone (GRZ). The GRZ reacts and completely removes the photoresist or other unwanted contamination.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method of screening a heminthic parasite preparation that affects a regulatory T cell function and a method of treating a disease by altering a regulatory T cell activity through the administration of a parasite preparation.

A fin box that accepts fins from multiple different fin box systems. The fin box can include a fin box body and a detachable insert. The detachable insert can be inserted within and secured to the fin box body in multiple positions where each position enables one or more different types of fins to be used with the fin box.
Abstract:
Systems and methods are operable to acquire device information from film set devices used to film a media content event. An exemplary film production information acquisition device has at least a sensor device configured to sense an operation characteristic of a film set device, a film production information management system (IMS) communication interface configured to communicatively couple the film production information acquisition device to a film production information management system, and a processor system communicatively coupled to the film production IMS communication interface and the sensor device, and configured to process the sensed operation characteristic of the film set device into information that is communicated to the film production information management system.

FIG. 1 is a top plan view of the spring toy; FIG. 2 is a bottom plan view thereof; FIG. 3 is a side view compacted thereof; and, FIG. 4 is a side view expanded thereof. The spring toy is shown with a symbolic break in its length. The appearance of any portion of the article between the break lines forms no part of the claimed design.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus delivers pulsed laser energy to a damage-sensitive surface. The pulse scanning method and apparatus allow for the deposition of a total dose of laser radiation that could not be attained by any conventional means without damaging the substrate being exposed. Using a solid-state diode pumped YAG laser and an enclosure with a gas ambient, laser pulses are scanned across a substrate according to one of several programmed approaches. Pulses are deposited that are non-adjacent in time, or non-adjacent in space, or both; conventional methods have the pulses adjacent in both time and space. Using the various approaches of the invention, the degree of spatial and temporal adjacency can be precisely controlled to permit significant laser radiation doses without causing any substrate damage. The present invention novel method and apparatus can be carried out by integrating a computer, laser and scan head with a small chamber into which gas can flow to permit a variety of surface reactions on damage-sensitive substrates that could otherwise not be conducted with conventional methods and systems.
Abstract:
An illustrative embodiment of a reciprocating internal combustion engine of the present invention comprises a rotatable drive shaft, a cam coupled to the rotatable drive shaft, a plurality of internal combustion cylinders symmetrically located about the drive shaft, plurality of rocker arms, each rocker arm being coupled to a piston rod of one of the cylinders, and a wheel mounted on each rocker arm and engaging the cam, whereby the rocker arm drives the cam during a power stroke while the cam drives the rocker arm during a compression stroke.
