摘要: A protective coating system includes a nickel-aluminum-zirconium alloy coating having at least one phase selected from gamma phase nickel, gamma prime phase nickel-aluminum, or beta phase nickel-aluminum in combination with the gamma phase nickel or the gamma prime phase nickel-aluminum. For example, the nickel-aluminum-zirconium alloy coating includes about 0.001 wt % to 0.2 wt % zirconium.

摘要: A coating apparatus comprises a coating chamber for coating the articles. The at least one preheat chamber is coupled to the coating chamber. The at least one loading station has a proximal end connectable to at least one of the preheat chambers when in an installed position at a distal end of the preheat chamber. The loading station further includes a carrier for carrying the articles and a drive system. The drive system is positioned to move the carrier between: a loading/unloading position of the carrier in the loading station; a preheat position of the carrier in the preheat chamber to which the loading station is connected; and a deposition position of the carrier in the coating chamber. A gas source is connected to the preheat chamber.

摘要: A coating apparatus comprises a coating chamber for coating the articles. The at least one preheat chamber is coupled to the coating chamber. A vapor stream is provided in a chamber that is below atmospheric pressure. The vapor stream is impinged with a working gas that provides a flow that transports the vapor stream. The flow of the working gas is modified with a physical object that directs the flow to achieve a desired coating on the substrate.
