Abstract: A gate signal line driving circuit includes plural basic circuits, each outputting to a gate signal line a gate signal which is high during a high signal period and low during a low signal period. Each of the basic circuits includes: agate line high voltage application circuit which is turned on in accordance with the high signal period to apply the high voltage to the gate signal line; a gate line low voltage application circuit which is turned on in accordance with the low signal period t apply the low voltage to the gate signal line; and a second gate line low voltage application circuit which is turned on to apply the low voltage to the gate signal line in at least a part of a period between turning off the gate line high voltage application circuit and turning on the gate line low voltage application circuit.

Abstract: A display device with a touch panel includes: a plurality of scanning signal lines, which are aligned in a rectangular display region and in parallel with a side of the rectangular display region, to which an active potential as a potential for making a pixel transistor conductive is applied; drive pulse output circuits which sequentially apply the active potential to the scanning signal lines in the display region; a clock signal output circuit which applies a first clock signal as a clock signal for the drive pulse output circuits to a first clock signal line and stops the application of the first clock signal to the first clock signal line for a stop period during which the sequential application of the active potential is stopped in the middle thereof; and a touch panel control unit which detects contact with a display surface during the stop period.

Abstract: A drive circuit of an in cell type touch panel includes a thin film transistor that controls whether to pass a signal to drive a counter electrode when a finger touches and a thin film transistor that controls whether to pass a counter electrode voltage in display.
