    Abstract: A display system includes: a transmissive liquid crystal display panel; a scattering panel having a scattering area provided with a scattering portion; a temperature detector having a temperature detection area provided with a resistor element; a light source configured to emit projection light to the liquid crystal display panel; and a controller configured to control operations of the scattering panel and the light source based on an output of the temperature detector corresponding to a temperature of the resistor element. A display area of the liquid crystal display panel, the scattering area, and the temperature detection area overlap one another. The projection light that has passed through the display area and the scattering area is projected onto a light-transmitting projection target. When an output indicating that the temperature of the resistor element is a predetermined temperature or higher is acquired, the controller causes the scattering portion to scatter light.

    Abstract: A liquid crystal display device with a plurality of pixels arranged in a matrix includes a first substrate, a second substrate, a liquid crystal interposed between the first and the second substrates, and a detection circuit. The second substrate includes a detection electrode for a touch panel. The respective pixels have pixel electrodes and counter electrodes. The counter electrode divided into a plurality of blocks is provided common to the respective pixels on a plurality of consecutive display lines. The counter electrode divided into blocks serves as the scanning electrode for the touch panel. The detection circuit includes a calibration capacity element provided for each of the detection electrodes, is having one end connected to the detection electrode, and supplies a calibration voltage to the other end of the calibration capacity element in a touched position detection process.

The mirror apparatus includes: a region configured to reflect the image and divided into a plurality of partial regions; a temperature sensor configured to detect a temperature of each of the partial regions; a liquid crystal mirror disposed facing the temperature sensor and configured to be switched between a reflective state in which incident light is reflected and a transmissive state in which incident light is transmitted; and a control circuit configured to control the reflective state and the transmissive state in each of the partial regions depending on the temperature detected in the partial region.

    Abstract: A display system includes: a transmissive liquid crystal display panel; a light control panel having an active area with a light control area; a temperature detector provided in the liquid crystal display panel and having a detection area with a resistive element; a backlight; and a controller. A display area of the liquid crystal display panel, the active area, and the detection area overlap on an optical path of a projection light. The light control panel is disposed at such an angle that, when the light control area is in a light reflection state, the light control panel reflects external light to a position out of the optical path and different from a position of the liquid crystal display panel. The controller causes the light control area to reflect light when an output indicating that the resistive element has a predetermined temperature or higher is obtained.

The controller increases an emission amount of ultraviolet light from the ultraviolet light emitter as the object approaches the display surface, and reduces the emission amount of ultraviolet light from the ultraviolet light emitter as the object recedes from the display surface.

    Abstract: A temperature detection device includes: a detection part in which a first resistor element and a second resistor element having different relations between temperature variation and variation in an electric resistance value are provided; a switch provided capable of performing a switching operation so as to be coupled to one of a first circuit including wiring to which the first resistor element is coupled and a second circuit including wiring to which the second resistor element is coupled; a power supply circuit configured to apply a voltage to the one circuit coupled to the power supply circuit through the switch to generate an electric signal in the one circuit; and a controller configured to detect a temperature of the detection part based on a strength of the electric signal output from the one circuit. The controller is configured to periodically cause the switch to perform the switching operation.

The reflective panel includes a reflection region and a transmission region in the light receiving surface, and a position and a size of the reflection region and the transmission region are variable.
