摘要: A band for securing a catheter or similar device to a limb of a human comprising a stretchable primary strap adapted to encircle the limb. A part of the strap is made of a soft looped fabric and the strap also carries a male Velcro-type fastening material which cooperates with the looped fabric to enable the strap to be secured in place about the limb. A secondary strap made of a flexible material is secured at one end intermediate the ends of the primary strap. That end of the secondary strap also carries a clip having an eye. The other end of the secondary strap, made of a male Velcro-type fastening material, may be threaded through the eye of the clip and engage the looped fabric so that the secondary strap forms a closed loop for encircling the catheter or similar device and holding it securely in place on the limb.

摘要: A method is provided for dispatching a load operation to a processing device and determining that the operation is the oldest load operation. The method also includes executing the operation in response to determining the operation is the oldest load operation. Computer readable storage media for performing the method are also provided. An apparatus is provided that includes a translation look-aside buffer (TLB) content addressable memory (CAM), and includes an oldest operation storage buffer operationally coupled to the TLB CAM. The apparatus also includes an output multiplexor operationally coupled to the TLB CAM and to the oldest operation storage buffer. Computer readable storage media for adapting a fabrication facility to manufacture the apparatus are also provided.

摘要: Systems and methods may provide for identifying a first position of a rear-view mirror, wherein the first position provides a target field of view. Additionally, a second position may be determined for the rear-view mirror in response to a travel related tilt of the rear-view mirror and the rear-view mirror may be automatically adjusted to the second position, wherein the second position provides the target field of view after the travel related tilt. In one example, the travel related tilt is detected based on one or more sensor signals.

摘要: A sensor input into a first near field communication (NFC) device, such as an accelerometer input resulting from a rapid motion of the first NFC device to the right, is associated with a function of a second NFC device, such as a zoom function. The first NFC device is brought into proximity to a second NFC device and an NFC operation is launched. If the sensor input into the first NFC device is detected during a time window including the NFC launch time, the first NFC device communicates instructions to the second NFC device to execute the function, and the function is executed by the second NFC device.

摘要: A method of manufacturing a nanopatterned biophotonic structure includes forming a customized nanopattern mask on a substrate using E-beam lithography, providing a biopolymer matrix solution, depositing the biopolymer matrix solution on the substrate, and drying the biopolymer matrix solution to form a solidified biopolymer film. A surface of the film is formed with the nanopattern mask, or a nanopattern is machined directly on a surface of the film using E-beam lithograpy such that the biopolymer film exhibits a spectral signature corresponding to the E-beam lithograpy nanopattern. The resulting bio-compatible nanopatterned biophotonic structures may be made from silk, may be biodegradable, and may be bio-sensing devices. The biophotonic structures may employ nanopatterned masks based on non-periodic photonic lattices, and the biophotonic structures may be designed with specific spectral signatures for use in probing biological substances, including displaying optical activity in the form of opalescence.
