There are provided an apparatus and a method for controlling the power quality of a power generation system. According to the present invention, there is provided an apparatus for controlling the power quality of a power generation system including a DC/AC inverter converting DC voltage into AC voltage and supplying inverter current to a grid, including: a grid voltage phase follower generating a grid signal; a fundamental extractor extracting a magnitude of a fundamental wave of a load current introduced into a non-linear load connected between the DC/AC inverter and the grid; a first calculator subtracting a preset current compensation value from the magnitude of the fundamental wave from the fundamental extractor; and a second calculator generating an inverter current instruction value for the DC/AC inverter by using the output value of the first calculator and the grid signal and the load current from the grid voltage phase follower.

The present invention provides a pharmaceutical formulation comprising a compartment containing a rennin inhibitor as a pharmacologically active ingredient, and a compartment having an angiotensin-II-receptor blocker as a pharmacologically active ingredient. One of the compartments is an immediate-release compartment and the other one is an extended-release compartment. Since the disclosed formulation delivers the rennin inhibitor and angiotensin-II-receptor blocker at a specific delivery rate at a different time. It has an advantage in reducing the concern about side effects, improving drug effects, and simplifying the instructions for use of the drug. In addition, the formulation can pharmacologically, clinically, scientifically, and economically achieve more useful effects than the complex prescription case of taking the ingredients separately or each at once, in preventing and treating metabolic syndrome, cardiovascular disease and renal disease.

The present invention features a battery pack, that is provided to supply electricity to a variety of electric parts, such as a drive motor, installed in an environment friendly electric vehicle such as a fuel cell vehicle or a hybrid electric vehicle. Preferably, the battery pack is configured to stack cell assemblies. Each cell assembly includes a cell case. The cell case includes windows in opposite surfaces thereof such that unit cells are exposed, and recesses in opposite long lateral faces thereof such that the windows communicate with an outside. The windows and the recesses define cooling passages between the stacked cell assemblies.
