    摘要: A method of operating a three level converter includes controlling the output voltage of the converter when a DC link voltage of the three level converter is lower than one-half of a rated DC link voltage of the converter by, for each leg of the converter, alternately connecting an output terminal of the leg to the positive terminal or the negative terminal of the DC link. When the DC link voltage is at least one-half of the rated DC link voltage, the method includes controlling the output voltage of the converter by, for each leg, selectively connecting the output terminal of the converter to the positive terminal, the negative terminal, or a mid-point of the DC link.

    摘要: The present invention is directed to recombinantly engineered mice that are deficient in the expression of both presenilin-1 and presenilin-2. The mice exhibit characteristics of age-dependent cognitive impairments and neurodegeneration similar to those seen in Alzheimer's disease patients. This presenilin-deficient mouse model can be used to screen compounds capable of slowing, preventing or reversing the progression of cognitive impairments and neurodegeneration. The invention is also directed to the development of treatments for Alzheimer's disease based on augmentation or restoration of presenilin function in the brain. On the basis of the findings described herein, the invention is further directed to the development of assays to detect functional presenilin deficiency in human individuals, preferably through analysis of presenilin substrates, which may provide biomarkers useful in the diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease.

    摘要: A control system for a multilevel converter includes a differential mode current regulator, a neutral point (NP) controller and a PWM controller for generating switching pulses for the multilevel converter. The differential mode current regulator generates reference voltage command signals based on a difference between reference current command signals and actual current command signals, and the NP controller determines a modified neutral point current signal in response to a DC link voltage unbalance. The NP controller utilizes the modified neutral point current signal to generate a common mode reference voltage signal. The switching pulses are generated by the PWM controller based on the reference voltage command signals and the common mode reference voltage signal.

The converter (12) may comprise a comparator circuit (40) and a timer circuit (41) for comparing the first parameter signal with a reference signal and for generating the second parameter signal having a respective first or second value of two possible values in case of a respective first or second comparison result. The parameter may be a current flowing through or light emitted by at least a part of the load (20). The driver (11) may be a buck/boost/buck boost/fly back converter.
