The LCD includes first and second substrates, a gate line formed on the first substrate, a data line formed on the first substrate with the data line intersecting the gate line, a thin film transistor (TFT) formed on the first substrate and connected to the gate line and to the data line, a storage line formed on the substrate which is parallel with the gate line, and a pixel electrode formed on the first substrate and connected to a drain electrode of the TFT. The LCD further includes a black matrix formed on the second substrate, with the black matrix overlapping a channel of the TFT.

A reflection film provided in a reflection pixel region is extended up to a transmission storage capacitor formation region of a transmission pixel such that the aperture ratio of the reflection pixel is enhanced. An upper storage electrode connected to a transmission storage line is formed between the reflection film and a lower storage electrode of the transmission storage capacitor to prevent a coupling phenomenon between the reflection film and the lower storage electrode and a resulting signal distortion.

The display apparatus and the manufacturing method thereof increase production yields because the number of apparatus substrates for the display apparatus obtained from a mother substrate is increased by minimizing a distance between two adjacent apparatus substrates on the mother substrate. The method of manufacturing an exemplary LCD apparatus includes a one drop filling method or a vacuum injection method.

    摘要: A display panel includes an array substrate and an opposite substrate. The array substrate includes a plurality of data lines, a plurality of gate lines, a plurality of first signal lines, a plurality of second signal lines and a plurality of pixels. Each of the pixels includes a pixel electrode and a common electrode insulated from the pixel electrode. The opposite substrate includes a plurality of connecting members. At least one of the connecting members is electrically connected to at least one of the first signal lines and the second signal lines by an externally provided pressure. Thus, when an externally provided pressure is applied to the display panel in order to perform a touch screen function, an alignment of the liquid crystal molecules disposed on the array substrate may not be substantially changed, and a display quality may be improved.

    摘要: An array panel for a digital X-ray detector including a gate driver (150) is disclosed. A switching element (TFT) is formed in a pixel region defined by gate (110) and data lines (120). A photoelectric cell (130) generates electrons in response to the light supplied from outward. A pixel electrode (260) is formed in the pixel region, and gathers electrons generated from the photoelectric cell (130). A storage capacitor (C) is connected to the drain electrode (225) and stores the electrons gathered in the pixel electrode (260). A gate driver (150) is electrically connected to an end portion of the gate line (110), and provides a scan signal for driving the switching element (TFT). A data pad (140) is electrically connected to an end portion of the data line (120). The electrons stored in the storage capacitor (C) move to the data pad (140) as the switching element (TFT) is turned on. Therefore, the manufacturing cost is reduced, and the manufacturing process is simplified.
