摘要: Content is transferred from a first non-volatile storage medium to a second non-volatile storage medium without reproduction. This is accomplished by reading first data stored in the first non-volatile storage medium from the first non-volatile storage medium to volatile memory, erasing the first data from the first non-volatile storage medium, and after erasing the first data from the first non-volatile storage medium, storing corresponding data in a second non-volatile storage medium. And after storing the corresponding data in the second non-volatile storage medium, the first data is erased from the volatile memory. The first data is not concurrently stored in the first non-volatile storage medium and the second non-volatile storage medium.

摘要: Content is lent, or temporarily transferred, without reproduction, by reading first data stored in a first non-volatile storage medium from the first non-volatile storage medium to a first volatile memory, and transmitting corresponding data from the first volatile memory to a second volatile memory. After the reading or transmitting, at least a portion of the first data is erased from the first non-volatile storage medium. The data and corresponding data are also erased from the first volatile memory and second volatile memory and are thus stored in volatile memory for a period of not more than transitory duration. The portion of the first data stored in the first non-volatile storage medium and the corresponding data stored in the second non-volatile storage medium are not concurrently stored. In some embodiments, the first data includes one or more respective keys, each key for decrypting a respective encrypted data chunk.

摘要: A casing for an injection device of the type having a safety device which prevents operation of the device, incorporating an actuator means by which the safety means of the device can be actuated to allow operation of the device. Also a casing for a medicament container having an opening closed prior to use by a break-off tip, having relatively movable first and second casing parts, which on relative movement apply a breaking force to the break-off tip. A preferred embodiment includes both such features.

摘要: The present invention provides methods and systems for particle detection and analysis using two-dimensional optical imaging to access enhanced detection sensitivity and expanded sensing functionality relative to conventional point and array detection-based optical particle counters. Methods and systems of the present invention provide a two-dimensional optical imaging-based particle sensing platform wherein system components and specifications are selected to generate reproducible and readily identifiable signals, including particle detection signatures, from optical scattering or emission from particles provided to the system. Systems and methods of the present invention are capable of accurately and sensitively detecting, identifying, and characterizing (e.g., determining the size of) particles in liquid phase or gas phase samples.

摘要: An improved foot abduction apparatus allowing movement in a horizontal and vertical plane. The embodiments allow a user to more easily manipulate the apparatus in one or both planes through the use of strategically placed pivot points. The device utilizes at least one rigid member attached to coupling devices which contain at least one pivot point. The specialized coupling devices may be selectively attached to shoe receiving member or plates which are well known in the art. Additionally the shoe receiving members are able to receive an improved shoe containing a sole member contained with a silicone boot.

摘要: A method and system for business planning via a communications network includes automated electronic communication procedures for managing the exchange of goods, services, or materials among different business entities. Requirement-indicating data is obtained from a first entity with respect to a transactional subject. The transactional subject may refer to the provision of a material, a good, a service, or any combination of the foregoing items. The obtained requirement-indicating data is automatically transmitted from the first business entity to a second business entity over a communications network. The transmitted requirement-indicating data is automatically fed into an electronic processor associated with the second business entity. A business decision of the second business entity is generated based on the requirement-indicating data. Accordingly, the method and system facilitates the exchange of accurate and timely business information between the first entity and the second entity by reducing or eliminating manual clerical tasks.
