Abstract:
A network management application creates one or more maps representing social networks of participants that currently reside, have resided, or plan to reside in a region of wireless coverage provided by a wireless access point. The network management application updates a map to reflect changes in the social network in accordance with movement of the participants in and out of the region of wireless coverage. For example, if a subscriber moves outside the region, the respective subscriber is removed from the social network. If the subscriber moves into the region of wireless coverage, the respective subscriber is added to the social network. Inclusion of a subscriber in the social network can depend on factors such as whether a subscriber is a member of an organization. The wireless base station communicates information to the participants of the social network in accordance with one or more rules.
Abstract:

In accordance with the system, an advertisement or a promotion of a product is possible by distributing a storage media that holds a link to a content providing apparatus to consumers.
Abstract:
A data application providing server, a broadcasting server and a receiver for dynamically processing a data application and a digital broadcasting system including the same are disclosed wherein a data of a minimum quantity required for executing a data application is received and other data is received by a pull method to minimize a time required for receiving and executing the data application, and wherein a change in the data application is facilitated, and a stability of the execution of the data application is maintained and an execution speed is improved through a tread management or a task management.
Abstract:
A graphical user interface displays a proposed site plan of one or more new base stations with respect to existing network infrastructure in a geographical region. While in the field, an installation specialist can perform an in-person survey of the geographical region to determine whether a proposed location is suitable for installation of a wireless base station. The installation specialist may identify an obstacle that would inhibit a newly proposed wireless base station from providing desired coverage if installed at the proposed location. Via input to the graphical user interface, the installation specialist proposes an alternative location in which to install the new base station. A processor performs a validity check and provides feedback indicating whether installation of the new base station at the alternative location is acceptable. The graphical user interface also can support collection of site survey data to monitor progress of the installation.
Abstract:
An electrical connector for an electrical connection is disclosed, comprising a female receptacle to connect to either a male shorting cap or a male plug. The male plug and female receptacle can be fastened to a standard knockout in a light fixture. The male plug and female receptacle have alignment means such that they can only fit together one way, and once together are positively connected by means of a twist-lock ring. The male plug is connected to the female receptacle by aligning the two fins to the two corresponding grooves, and pushing inward such that the protrusions of the female receptacle pass through the indentations in the ring of the male plug. The twist-lock ring is turned and the nubs on the protrusions engage the notches of the female receptacle, creating a removable twist-lock ring.
Abstract:
Techniques for forming a contact to a buried diffusion layer in a semiconductor memory device are disclosed. In one particular exemplary embodiment, the techniques may be realized as a semiconductor memory device. The semiconductor memory device may comprise a substrate comprising an upper layer. The semiconductor memory device may also comprise an array of dummy pillars formed on the upper layer of the substrate and arranged in rows and columns. Each of the dummy pillars may extend upward from the upper layer and have a bottom contact that is electrically connected with the upper layer of the substrate. The semiconductor memory device may also comprise an array of active pillars formed on the upper layer of the substrate and arranged in rows and columns. Each of the active pillars may extend upward from the upper layer and have an active first region, an active second region, and an active third region. Each of the active pillars may also be electrically connected with the upper layer of the substrate.
Abstract:
An interconnected heated patio stone and system are disclosed, the stone consisting of a durable, heat-transmitting upper layer, and an insulating lower layer, a heating cable running within the stone, and having two interconnections at the edge of the stone. The interconnection has a bracket to connect with the cable, a receptacle for joining electrically to a bridging connector, and an electrical linkage making an electrical connection available. Each stone is connected with another by a bridging connector, which contains an articulated wire, and has a basin and cap at each end for electrically joining, in a sealed manner, with the receptacle. The system consists of two or more stones interconnected using bridging connectors, the whole system also connected to a power source.
Abstract:
A method of providing a mobile application is disclosed. In accordance with the method of the present invention, a transmission time and a loading time of the mobile application, and a limitation on a number and a size of the mobile application are minimized, and providing the personalized mobile application is possible.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a media playback apparatus capable of testing a user application, and to a method for testing a user application using the same. According to the present invention, the media playback apparatus tests the user application which is generated by executing a developer application in a computing apparatus, wherein the computing apparatus is connected to the media playback apparatus through a network. Thus, applications stored in a plurality of computing apparatuses can be tested using a single media playback apparatus.
Abstract:
A multiprocessor computer system comprises a dragonfly processor interconnect network that comprises a plurality of processor nodes and a plurality of routers. The routers are operable to adaptively route data by selecting from among a plurality of network paths from a target node to a destination node in the dragonfly network based on one or more of network congestion information from neighboring routers and failed network link information from neighboring routers.
