摘要： An aspect provides a method, including: detecting a selection of an object on a touch screen display using touch based input; providing a visual indication of the object on the touch screen display in response to the detection of a selection; accepting gesture input at the touch screen display to fly out from the underlying document while maintaining the visual indication of the object on the touch screen display, such that during the fly out more of the underlying document is displayed; and moving the visual indication of the object about the underlying document in response to the accepted gesture input at the touch screen display. 摘要： An approach is provided to direct data to different applications based upon the amount of pressure applied by a user of a pressure sensitive touch-enabled screen. In this approach, a touch input is received at a location of the pressure sensitive touch-enabled screen. The various applications currently being displayed at the location are identified along with the physical pressure level (amount of pressure applied) at the location on the pressure sensitive touch-enabled screen. One of the applications running on the device is selected based on the amount of pressure applied and the touch-based input provided by the user is directed to the selected application.

In one aspect, the vibrations from at least two haptic feedback mechanisms are combined, providing different amplitudes at different device locations. In one aspect, a haptic feedback mechanism outputs vibrations with a one amplitude in one state, and another, different amplitude in at least one other state, as controlled by the controller. The different states may correspond to different weights being driven at different times, and/or different positions of one or more weights.
