Disclosed is a novel, efficient yet strong item support stand that may be used to support an item such as a musical instrument (a keyboard, as but one example) and that may be collapsible and/or adjustable in certain embodiments.

摘要： Apparatus and methods for detecting and characterizing motion-related error of moving micro-entities are described. Motion-related error may occur in streams of moving micro-entities, and may represent a deviation in and expected arrival time or an uncertainty in position of a micro-entity. Motion-related error of micro-entities is observed in a flow cytometer, e.g., as pulse jitter, and is found to have a functional dependence on a parameter related to a system clock. The motion-related error may be characterized by correlating measurements of micro-entities moving within a fluid stream.

摘要： The invention relates to compositions and methods for separating oil and other contaminants (particularly oleophilic compounds) from water, gas and other carriers. The invention is useful for separating oil, including emulsified oil, from water and other oleophilic compounds from bilgewater and other wastewater. The compositions comprise a hydrocarbon resin and a drying oil, which may be combined in an organic solvent. For example, hydrocarbon resin and tung oil are optionally combined into a naphtha solvent. The invention is also useful for removing a variety of contaminants from an air stream, such as exhaust from internal combustion engines, burners, and other sources.

摘要： A rotary dry drilling system comprises a surface mounted drill having a drill bit and a drill bit driver rotationally connected by a hollow drill string. There is included core sample capture means adapted to travel from the head of the drill string to the tail of the drill string. The system also comprises an auger for removing cuttings from a comminution zone and cuttings fluidization means to facilitate transport of cuttings from the comminution zone to the auger. Once the cuttings are removed by the auger they are collected and transported to the surface for disposal.

摘要： Enclosure door status may be detected. Light may be transmitted from a first component. The light may be received at a second component when a door is in a substantially closed position. The door may be mounted on a structure wherein an angle of incidence between the light transmitted from the first component and the second component increases proportionally to an angle of incidence between the door and the structure. The door may be determined to be in an open position when a light intensity received at the second component is less than a predetermined light intensity value that corresponds to a predetermined angle of incidence between the door and the structure. The first component may comprise a low divergence light emitting diode (LED) transmitter that may be configured to transmit light at a wavelength of approximately 950 nm. The second component may comprise a low profile silicon photodiode.
