    摘要: The invention provides a method for the purification of cytochrome P450 molecules, the method comprising expressing in a host cell culture a cytochrome P450 molecule; recovering said cells from said culture and suspending said cells in a high salt buffer; lysing said cells and removing cell debris to provide a high-salt lysate; adding to said lysate a detergent to provide a high-salt-detergent lysate; and recovering said P450 from said lysate. The method provides yields of P450 proteins suitable for crystallization.

    摘要: A dilatation balloon and catheter for insertion into a bodily conduit. The catheter (10) includes shaft (12) and a dilatation balloon (24) at the distal end of the shaft. The balloon is inflated via a central lumen (14) in the shaft for delivery of a fluid inflation media. The balloon is fabricated from a combination of a thermoplastic elastomer (TPE), preferably an engineering thermoplastic elastomer (ETE), with a non-compliant structural polymeric material. The combination may be a blend of the non-compliant structural polymer and the TPE. Alternatively, the combination may be a layered balloon having, for example, a non-compliant structural polymer inner layer and a soft, abrasion resistant, elastomeric outer layer. Methods for fabricating the balloon from the combination of a TPE and a non-compliant structural polymer are also disclosed.

    摘要: By using advanced data communications transport methodology, remote electronic vaulting systems and methods provide a networked-based solution to facilitate the transportation of production data between the production data processing center and an off-site storage location. A local access network is used to facilitate data transport from the production data processing facility to the closest long-haul distance network point of presence facility. The point of presence facility houses an electronic storage device which provides the off-site storage capability. A user can then manipulate transportation to data from the production data processing center to the data storage facility using channel extension technology to store the data in electronic form on standard disk or tape storage devices. The user can then recall, copy or transmit the data anywhere on demand under user control by manipulating switching at the point of presence. This subsequent electronic data transfer can be designed to move the critical data on demand at time of disaster to any disaster recovery facility.
