    摘要: The present invention relates to coating compositions containing(A) 70 to 98% by weight, based on the sum of components (A) and (B), of(a) isocyanate-free polymers of ethylenically unsaturated monomers and/or polyurethanes or blocked isocyanate prepolymers, and(b) optional organic solvents, wherein component (A) contains no significant quantities of groups capable of reacting with component (B) or starting materials thereof and has a viscosity (at 23.degree. C.) of 2000 to 100,000 mPa.s;(B) 2 to 30% by weight, based on the sum of components (A) and (B), of a polyaddition product prepared in and dispersed in component (A), wherein the polyaddition product is a polyurethane, polyurethane urea, polyurea, or mixture thereof, containing ionic groups and/or potentially ionic groups in a quantity corresponding to from 0.5 to 20 milliequivalents per 100 g of component (B) but containing substantially no free isocyanate, hydroxyl, or amino groups: and(C) optional cross-linking agents;in which component (B) is formed in situ in component (A).

    摘要: The present invention is directed to aqueous coating compositions suitable for use as coating and finishing agents for surface coatings, preferably PVC or polyurethane coatings, based on sedimentation-stable polyurethane dispersions having a solids content of about 10-70% by weight wherein the polyurethane-urea solids material is based on polyester diols, low molecular weight diols and optionally triols, chemically incorporated hydrophilic groups, specific mixtures of diisocyanates and polyamine chain extenders having an average functionality of greater than 2 and wherein the aqueous preparations additionally contain alkoxylated dimethyl-polysiloxanes and water-soluble polyethylene oxides. The present invention is also directed to a process for applying top coats and finishes to surface coatings, preferably PVC or polyurethane surface coatings, wherein the above-described aqueous coating and finishing agents are used as the top coat and the coatings are cured at about 70.degree.-170.degree. C.

    摘要: This invention relates to coating compositions based on aqueous polyurethane dispersions, as well as the use of the coating compositions for the production of top coats or finishes on flexible substrates, particularly on PVC. The present coating agents contain an aqueous polyurethane dispersion having certain physico-chemical properties and the following composition of the solid substance:(A) from about 30 to 60%, by weight, of a hexane diol-1,6-polyester diol having a molecular weight of from about 500 to 6000;(B) up to about 8%, by weight, of a relatively low molecular weight triol having a molecular weight of from about 91 to 399;(C) from about 3 to 30%, by weight, of one or more mono- or poly-functional compounds bearing cationic and/or anionic groups and/or containing non-ionic polyoxyethylene segments;(D) from about 20 to 50%, by weight, of a diisocyanate corresponding to the following general formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1, R.sub.2 and R.sub.3, which may be the same or different, each represents hydrogen or a straight- or branched-chain aliphatic hydrocarbon radical containing from 1 to 4 carbon atoms;(E) from about 2.5 to 20%, by weight, of other aliphatic and/or cycloaliphatic diisocyanates; and(F) from about 0.5 to 4%, by weight, of hydrazine; and optionally conventional additives, auxiliaries and catalysts.

    摘要: A process is described for the preparation of predominantly linear polyurethane solutions which comprises(a) reacting(A) an organic diisocyanate or diisocyanate mixture optionally containing small portions of a triisocyanate with(B) one or more polyhydroxyl compounds which are predominantly bifunctional and generally have molecular weights of from about 400 to 5000 and(C) optionally one or more chain lengthening agents having at least two isocyanate reactive hydrogen atoms and molecular weights of from about 32 to 399, wherein the proportion of isocyanate groups to the number of isocyanate-reactive hydrogen atoms is in the range of from about 0.9:1 to 1:0.9, and(b) when the polyurethane formed has reached the required viscosity, adding a monofunctional, low molecular weight oxime having a molecular weight of from about 73 to 325, preferably butanone oxime, to the reaction mixture as chain breaking agent in a quantity equivalent to or in excess of the equivalents of unreacted isocyanate groups.The new chain breaking agents are simple compounds which effect rapid chain breaking and have no undesirable side effects as regards subsequent breakdown of the chains and even enable further synthesizing reactions to be carried out if desired, for example with diamines.
