    摘要: A digital broadcast receiver schedules the startup of its software on the basis of the number of data transfer channels and core processing units available to transfer the necessary programs into main storage and execute them, the execution priority order of the programs, the time required to transfer each necessary program into main storage, and the time required to initialize each program. If a snapshot startup option exists for a program, the initialization time is compared with the time required for transferring the snapshot of the program's working data and for further post-processing. Consideration of the data transfer times and initialization times as well as execution priority enables the shortest schedule to be determined.

    摘要: An apparatus using a software start-up method, selects execution-targeted software data to be used for starting execution of the start-up processing, out of software data stored in a first storage device; starts the execution of the start-up processing by using the execution-targeted software data; searches for another software data other than the execution-targeted software data, from software data stored in the first storage device; determines whether the another software data is changed from its initial-state; and, if the another software data is changed, selects initial-state software data as the initial state of the another software data from said at least one software data stored in a second storage device, reads the initial-state software data from the second storage device, and replaces the another software data stored in the first storage device with the read initial-state software data by overwriting.

The apparatus stores a second channel-selection control information for each channel, including an I-picture appearance time which is a time when a packet including an I-picture is received and an I-pictures appearance interval-time which is an interval between times when a packet including an I-picture is received; and a control unit obtains, after an input of switching of the channel-selection is received, the I-picture appearance time and the I-pictures appearance interval-time corresponding to the switched channel from the channel-selection control information, adds the obtained I-pictures appearance interval-time to the obtained I-picture appearance time, calculates an I-picture appearance estimated-time which is a time when a packet including an I-picture is obtained subsequently, and delays a channel switchover until a time earlier than the I-picture appearance estimated-time by a switchover period-of-time required for the switching of the channel-selection.

    摘要: A decode timing generation unit is configured so that when there is a change in the video data input at the input terminal, by moving the reference time into the future, it generates a decode timing signal immediately after the first acquisition of the DTS of a decodable frame following the change. The decode timing generation unit is configured so that the decode timing signal is generated when only a portion of the decodable frame is acquired, before the entirety of the decodable frame is acquired. In addition, the display timing generation unit is configured so that when there is a change in the video data input at the input terminal, by moving the reference time into the future, it generates a display timing immediately after the first acquisition of the PTS of a decodable frame after the change.
