    摘要： A novel light-sensitive heat-sensitive composition is disclosed, comprising a photohardenable composition, a dye which discolors upon reacting with a base, and a base precursor. A novel light-sensitive heat-sensitive recording material is also disclosed, comprising a support having provided thereon the above described light-sensitive heat-sensitive composition. In a preferred embodiment, the dye is a spectral sensitizing dye for the photohardenable composition. Furthermore, a novel image formation process is disclosed, comprising the steps of: (a) imagewise exposing the light-sensitive heat-sensitive recording material to light to cure the exposed portions of the recording material; and (b) uniformly heating the imagewise exposed recording material to discolor the dye in the unexposed portions thereof. A second image formation process is disclosed, comprising the steps of: (a) imagewise heating the light-sensitive heat-sensitive recording material to discolor the dye in the heated portions of the recording material; and (b) uniformly exposing the imagewise heated recording material to light to cure the unheated portions thereof.

    摘要： A positive-working light-sensitive composition comprises a diazonium salt represented by the following general formula (I) and an alkali-soluble polymer: ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 represents a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group having 3 to 18 carbon atoms; R.sup.2 represents a hydrogen atom, a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group, a substituted or unsubstituted alkoxy group, a substituted or unsubstituted phenoxy group or a halogen atom; A represents an organic group; X.sup.-- represents a counterion or an anion; n is an integer ranging from 1 to 4 and m is an integer ranging from 1 to 3, provided that the sum of n and m is equal to 4. The positive-working light-sensitive composition has high sensitivity and can ensure the formation of clear images.

    摘要： A light- and heat-sensitive recording material is disclosed which includes a support having thereon a recording layer containing a diazo compound, a coupling component, and an organic base compound, wherein the diazo compound is a 1-substituted amino-3-alkoxybenzene-4-diazonium salt and the coupling component is a compound prepared from any of cyclohexane-1,3-dione, 3-cyclohexenone, or 2-cyclohexenone. The light- and heat-sensitive recording material according to the present invention can develop an excellent magenta color hue and has excellent storage properties before recording use (shelf life).

    摘要： A heat-sensitive recording material and a recording method are disclosed, wherein the heat-sensitive recording material comprises a support having formed thereon plural heat-coloring elements each comprising a diazo compound and a coupling component capable of causing heat-coloring, the heat-coloring elements coloring in two or more different hues, and the coloring property in each heat-coloring element being capable of being stopped by the action of different radiations, and the recording method comprises first heat-coloring a heat-coloring element of the heat-sensitive recording material, stopping the heat-coloring property of the uncolored portions of the first heat-coloring element by radiation, and then heat-coloring another heat-coloring element; wherein the recording method comprises applying two or more heat-coloring procedures and one or more irradiations of radiation to form recorded images composed of two or more colors on the same sheet.
