    摘要: An air separator (1) comprises a first chamber (2) where blood or other fluid can be received, an inlet and an outlet port associated to the bottom wall (4) and in fluid communication with the first chamber. A first channel (14) extending along the lateral wall of the separator and has a first and a second portion (16 and 18). The channel second portion (18) terminally forms an orifice (15) facing the chamber and extending in an area closer to a top wall (5) of the chamber (2) than to the bottom wall of the same chamber. The orifice faces the top of the separator and has a flow passage cross section greater than that of a first portion (16) of the channel.

    摘要: In a blood transfer chamber, a filter (4) is arranged at an outlet located on a bottom of the chamber. The filter is truncoconical with a vertically-disposed axis. The filter has a plurality of openings (13, 14) for fluid passage, a size of which openings increases gradually in an upwards direction going from bottom to top of the chamber. The filter is used in a venous air-blood separation chamber of a dialysis set. The invention enables a reduction of a risk of hemolysis during treatment as well as a reduction of the risk of formation of air bubble retention in the filter during a priming stage.

    摘要: An extracorporeal blood circuit, comprising an expansion chamber for air-blood separation, wherein a filter (38) retains the solid particles in the blood. The filter has a trunco-conical filtering wall with a vertical axis surmounted by a top head (43) provided with upper openings (44) conformed and arranged such as to define a fluid passage which is asymmetrical with respect to the vertical axis. The top head does not retain air bubbles internally thereof, thus preventing a situation in which the air bubbles are directed towards an outlet of the expansion chamber and thus towards the patient. The extracorporeal circuit is used in a dialysis apparatus.
