Abstract: An engine includes an engine body, a DPF case therein, high pressure and low pressure EGR paths, and a supercharger. The high pressure EGR path is between exhaust and intake manifolds. An exhaust gas discharge path extends from the DPF case. An intake pipe extends from the supercharger air compressor. The low pressure EGR path is between the exhaust gas discharge path of the DPF case and the intake pipe. The low pressure EGR path includes a low pressure EGR cooler. An extending direction of a crankshaft defines a longitudinal direction. A flywheel exists on a rear side. A width direction of the engine body defines a lateral direction. The low pressure EGR path includes a rear path portion extending along a rear side of the engine body, and a side path portion extending along a lateral side of the engine body on a side close to the exhaust manifold.

Abstract: A device with an adjustment bolt includes a bolt attachment wall, an adjustment bolt screwed with an internal thread hole of the bolt attachment wall, a locknut screwed with the adjustment bolt, a cover that surrounds the adjustment bolt and the locknut, and a stopper unit that prevents removal of the cover from the locknut. The stopper unit includes an inner circumference groove of the cover fitted around a C-shaped retaining ring, and an external circumference groove of the locknut fitting within the retaining ring. The external circumference groove includes a first groove portion having a large-diameter groove bottom that restricts contraction and removal of the retaining ring fitted within the inner circumference groove, and a second groove portion provided continuously for the first groove portion and having a small-diameter groove bottom that allows contraction and removal of the retaining ring fitted within the inner circumference groove.

Abstract: An engine has an exhaust gas treatment apparatus attached thereto, wherein an exhaust pipe can be prevented from being damaged by a vibration of the engine body. An exhaust gas treatment apparatus is supported by an engine body and the engine body and the exhaust gas treatment apparatus communicate with each other through an exhaust pipe. The casing of the exhaust gas treatment apparatus consists of a plurality of casing units separable from each other. Connection flanges are disposed in respective end portions of the casing units. The casing units are coupled together by a connection of the connection flanges, and the exhaust gas treatment apparatus is supported by the engine body through the connection flanges.
