According to an embodiment, the method includes a method of reproducing digital content, including determining whether a sample data is present based on an indication information, the indication information indicating a presence of the sample data; reading a position information specifying a location of a sample data if the sample data is present as a result of the determination, the sample data being a portion of the digital content and reproducible without reproducing the entire digital content; and reproducing the sample data based on the read position information, prior to reproducing the entire digital content.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a method for making multi-path data stream acceptable in a high-density recording medium. A data stream recording method according to the present invention, records data stream in a recording medium, groups multi-path stream section of the recorded data stream into a single stream object, creates time entries having location information indicating each boundary position between stream segments of different path wherein each time entry contains type information indicating whether related data stream interval is for multi-path or not, and records the created time entries. This multi-path data stream accepting method prevents searching error which might be caused from multi-path data stream in a high-density recording medium in reproducing mode.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a method of transmitting data stream including multi-path data stream sections to a connected digital television. This data stream transmitting method checks the number of maximum multiple paths of data streams recorded in a recording medium when a reproduction is requested, copies an uni-path stream section read from the recording medium so that the number of total same stream sections is equal to a target number which is determined based on the maximum number, assigns each stream section to a virtual channel to form multi-channel streams, and transmits the multi-channel streams to an outer device through a digital interface. Through this data stream transmitting method, it is possible to transmit an angle- or story-based stream segment a viewer wants to view among multi-path stream so that the stream of the selected angle or story may be presented seamlessly at the borders between neighboring stream sections by very simple algorithm.
