摘要: A friction clutch wherein the clutch spring is shiftable axially toward the pressure plate during disengagement of the clutch to compensate for wear at least upon the friction linings of the clutch disc. Disengagement of the clutch is facilitated by several springs which act upon the clutch spring and upon the pressure plate and render it possible to disengage the clutch in response to the application of a relatively small force to the tips of the radially inwardly extending prongs of the clutch spring. Moreover, the magnitude of the disengaging force remains at least substantially constant during the entire useful life of the clutch.

摘要: A clutch unit having at least one friction clutch including a pressure disk joined to a housing in a rotationally fixed but axially displaceable manner. A lever system that can pivot axially is arranged between the housing and the pressure disk and can be impinged upon by an actuation device to engage the clutch. An adjusting device that at least partially compensates wear and tear of the friction lining of the clutch engages between the lever system and the housing. The lever system is axially supported on the housing by a rotatable adjusting ring and can be impinged upon in an axial manner in the direction of the adjusting ring by spring elements to produce an axial supporting force that is opposite to the clutch closing pressure applied to the lever system. A force-path characteristic is produced that reduces at least in the working area, wherein the spring elements are deformed for the at least partial wear and tear compensation.

摘要: A friction clutch wherein a pressure plate is axially movably but non-rotatably coupled to a cover and is biased by a diaphragm spring to urge the friction linings of a clutch disc against a flywheel which is driven by the engine of a motor vehicle. The diaphragm spring is tiltable relative to a seat which is carried by the cover, and a second spring is provided to bias a portion of the seat against the diaphragm spring. The latter can be moved axially of the flywheel to compensate for wear upon the friction linings, particularly when the flywheel is idle or is driven at a relatively low speed. The unit which compensates for wear upon the friction linings is installed between the diaphragm spring and the cover, and its purpose is to ensure that the bias of the diaphragm spring upon the pressure plate in the engaged condition of the friction clutch remains at least nearly constant regardless of the extent of wear upon the friction linings and upon certain other parts, including (1) the diaphragm spring, (2) the pressure plate, (3) springs which form part of the clutch disc to urge two sets of friction linings axially and away from each other against the flywheel and the pressure plate, respectively, (4) leaf springs which connect the pressure plate to the cover, and (5) one or more springs which are active during certain stages of disengagement of the clutch.

The wear upon the friction linings is compensated for by an adjusting unit which is designed to shift a seat for the titable diaphragm spring relative to the housing and toward the pressure plate. A resilient component, which can form part of or can be borne by the diaphragm spring or which is carried by the housing, acts upon the diaphragm spring to ensure that the magnitude of the force to be exerted upon and by the diaphragm spring during and immediately after disengagement of the clutch varies within a narrow range. The resilient component does not affect the operation of the adjusting unit.

摘要: A torque transmission device for the application in the drive train of a vehicle, between a driven shaft of a drive unit and a transmission, with at least two transmission input shafts. The torque transmission device includes at least two friction clutches which respectively feature a clutch disc, which can be coupled respectively with one of the transmission input shafts, and an intermediate pressure plate disposed between the friction lining of the twin clutch discs. The friction lining of both clutch discs may be clamped respectively between the intermediate pressure plate and one pressure plate, in which the respective pressure plates are disposed on the side of the friction lining that faces away relative to the intermediate pressure plate, still the two pressure plates with the intermediate pressure plate are at least rotationally coupled and are axially displaceable by actuation elements relative to the latter, in which at least the two friction clutches form a preassembled clutch assembly. The preassembled clutch assembly can be preassembled on the transmission side and is at least non-rotatably connectable with a drive element mounted on the driven shaft of the drive unit during the assembly of the drive unit and transmission, wherein the intermediate pressure plate is supported by a bearing on at least one of the transmission input shafts in at least one axial direction, in which the intermediate pressure plate features a radial displacement possibility relative to the rotation axis of the transmission input shafts.

摘要: A friction clutch wherein a rotary housing supports a tiltable diaphragm spring and confines a pressure plate that is axially movably but non-rotatably mounted therein for movement toward and away from friction linings on a clutch disc between the pressure plate and a prime-mover-driven counterpressure plate. The diaphragm spring is arranged to urge the pressure plate in a direction to engage the clutch and is maintained in stressed condition within the housing, even when not installed in the power train of a motor vehicle. The diaphragm spring is installed so that it is operatively associated with the pressure plate in an elastically stressed condition. The pressure plate includes an annular portion that supports the diaphragm spring, and further supports a biasing arrangement that is radially offset relative to the supporting portion and that serves to maintain the diaphragm spring on the pressure plate in the resiliently stressed condition.
