摘要: To facilitate calls made by Internet telephony through a computer, an IP phone system is provided with an audio I/F 18 for inputting and outputting audio signals for communications to and from a PC 20 over the Internet 200, in accordance with Internet telephony execution commands; a user I/F 13 for inputting Internet telephony call start instructions; and a path switching portion 19 for switching the output destination of audio signals that are input though a handset 14 and the input source of audio signals to be output as sounds from the handset 14, between an NCU 17 and the audio I/F 18, if a call start instruction for Internet telephony is input. If a call start instruction for Internet telephony is input from the user I/F 13, a control portion 11 outputs a control command for executing Internet telephony with respect to the PC 20, as an audio signal from the audio I/F 18.

摘要: A scanner device can be used in a facsimile machine or the like for reading a document on line basis. Each line of the document is read on pixel basis while irradiating a light onto the document. The scanner device includes an image sensor which receives a light reflected from the document and converts the light to an analog electrical signal. A controller controls the reading operation of the image sensor. A comparator translates the analog electric signal into a binary signal. The binary signal is stored in a shift register wherein the contents therein represents an image of a preceding line with respect to the present line being read by the image sensor. A threshold value applied to the comparator to read the present line image is varied depending upon the preceding line data stored in the shift register. As such, images on the document can be read with excellent fidelity, particularly when a fine line extending in a main scanning direction is present on the document.

摘要: During a normal update process, a password transmitted from a personal computer is compared with password already stored in a flash memory. When the passwords match, a transmitted program is written over the stored program. When a change mode is set by a user, the transmitted password is not compared with the stored password. The transmitted program is written over the stored program. Alternatively, even when the two passwords are compared and the, two passwords do not match, if the change mode is being set, the transmitted program is written over the stored program. Accordingly, during the change mode, regardless of whether or not the transmitted password matches the stored password, the transmitted program is written over the stored program.

摘要: A liquid crystal display device includes two electrode substrates and a liquid crystal layer laid between these substrates. One electrode is composed of a glass substrate with a plastics layer having plural convex portions or convex and concave portions randomly formed thereon and a lamination of a reflector, an insulating and flatting layer, a transparent electrode, and alignment layer formed on the plastics layer. The other electrode substrate is composed of a glass substrate and a lamination of a transparent electrode and alignment layer formed on the glass substrate. Both of the electrode substrates are located in a manner to allow the alignment layer of them to be opposed to each other.

摘要: A reflective color liquid crystal display apparatus, which can obtain bright images with a contrast in when viewed from any direction, is provided at a low cost. The reflective color liquid crystal display apparatus has an inside reflector and is able to produce bright images with a high contrast because unnecessary reflecting light from non-aperture portions can be decreased, and its aperture ratio can be determined approximately only by intervals of the reflective layer and intervals between the transparent electrodes. This can be accomplished by removing a reflective layer corresponding to black a matrix layer, adding a black matrix function to a polymer layer having protrusions and depressions under the reflective layer, and making a composition of its element so that a black matrix layer is not formed on the reflective layer, but only color filters are formed.
