Abstract:
A tire/wheel assembly, wherein a run-flat support body (3), comprising an annular shell (4) having an outer peripheral side as a support surface and an inner peripheral side formed in fork-shaped open legs and elastic rings (5) supporting the ends of the legs on a rim, is inserted into a hollow part of a pneumatic tire (2), and wherein the height (A) of the run-flat support body (3) in the cross section thereof is 50 to 60% of the height (SH) of the pneumatic tire (2) in the cross section thereof, and wherein the cross sectional area of the bead cores (7) of the pneumatic tire (2) is 25 to 40 mm2.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a tire/wheel assembly and a run-flat support member. A pneumatic tire is fitted to a wheel rim; and the run-flat support member constituted of a circular shell and elastic rings is inserted into a cavity of the pneumatic tire, in which the circular shell has a support surface thereof extended toward the periphery of the tire and leg portions along each side of the support surface, and the elastic rings support the leg portions of the circular shell on the rim. In the tire/wheel assembly, the leg portion of the circular shell is formed to have a sidewall extending in a shell radial direction and a bottom wall that is substantially parallel to a shell axial direction. The elastic ring is attached to the sidewall of the leg portion while being abutted on the bottom wall of the same without an engagement.

Abstract:
An internal information detector is disclosed, which is capable of preventing the leakage of pressure from an attached portion to a pressure vessel, and also preventing the interference with the pressure vessel. This internal information detector comprises a pressure injection valve penetrating a partition wall of the rotatable pressure vessel, the pressure injection valve being fixed to the pressure vessel; and an information detection unit located in the pressure vessel to detect information inside the vessel, the information detection unit being united with the pressure injection valve. The position of a center of gravity is adjusted to cancel a rotation moment caused by a centrifugal force during the rotation of the pressure vessel.
Abstract:
In a pneumatic tire (20) on which a transponder (1) is mounted, a securing member (3) for securing the transponder (1) is fixed to an inner surface of the tire in an area (S) between a tire maximum-width position (A) and a bead toe (B). Thereby, a large centrifugal force and a large impact force do not act on the transponder (1) storing various pieces of information, and the transponder can be mounted quickly and securely. Also, the weight of the transponder is remarkably reduced, and thus uniformity of the tire (20) is enhanced. Additionally, dynamic balance correction is made easier. Even in a large tire, reduction in durability is minimized through suppressing heat generation and heat accumulation of the tire (20) due to the transponder (1) and the securing member (3).
Abstract:
A vehicle monitoring system which can readily identify information transmitted from each detecting device without requiring registration of identifying information of the detecting device is to be provided. Detecting devices transmit vehicle information including at least the result of detection and self-identifying information; a tractor relaying device and a trailer relaying device add their self-identifying information to vehicle data received on the basis of the identifying information of the detecting devices and transmit the vehicle data, and transmit registration data including their own relaying device IDs and types indicating the registration of the relaying device IDs; the tractor relaying device stores the relaying device ID of the registration data transmitted from the trailer relaying device on the basis of the type information and transmits that registration data, and transmits vehicle data received from the trailer relaying device on the basis of the relaying device ID. The display device receives the registration data and the vehicle data transmitted from the tractor relaying device, and stores the relaying device ID of the registration data on the basis of type information.
Abstract:
A vehicle-mounted communication antenna to be mounted on a vehicle for performing communication by an electromagnetic wave, includes an antenna body having an antenna case and an antenna element contained in the antenna case, and an antenna cover for protecting the antenna body that can transmit the electromagnetic wave.
Abstract:
A tire-side-mounted electronic device according to the present invention includes at least two types of power sources having different discharging characteristics from each other. An electric load is connected to the power sources.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a communication system for a tire, whose receiving antenna is less likely to be damaged even in a case where the antenna is arranged near the tire. In this communication system, a motor vehicle is equipped with a receiver for receiving data from an electronic device installed in a wheel including a tire, and a receiving antenna connected to the receiver. The receiving antenna is covered with a flexible insulator to form an antenna insert body, and the antenna insert body is arranged within a range which allows the data to be accepted.
Abstract:
A sensor device for tire allowing the sensitivity of a traveling state detection switch to be adjusted, wherein tire inside information is detected in the state of the device installed in a tire air chamber and the detected results are transmitted to the outside. The sensor device for tire comprises a movable member swingable outwardly in a tire radial direction by the centrifugal force of the tire when the tire is rotating and a switch detecting a traveling state in conjunction with the movement of the movable member.
