摘要: A ferromagnetic material is composed of an iron alloy which contains 2 to 12% by weight of silicon and 5 to 25% by weight of at least one element selected from the group consisting of ruthenium, rhodium, palladium, iridium, platinum, gold and silver. This ferromagnetic material exhibits a high saturation flux density and good corrosion resistance. Excellent magnetic characteristics are obtained by a multilayered film which is obtained by alternatingly laminating the above ferromagnetic material and a spacer layer composed of other material. Further, a markedly increased recording density is exhibited by a magnetic head for perpendicular magnetic recording, when the end of the main pole is composed of the ferromagnetic material.

摘要: A magnetic recording and reproducing system comprising (i) a magnetic head including a first magnetic pole whose saturation flux density is at least 7 kG and whose edge face is 0.15-0.5 .mu.m thick, and a second magnetic pole which lies on the same side as the first magnetic pole with respect to a recording medium and whose edge face is at least 10 times thicker than that of the first magnetic pole, and (ii) the perpendicular magnetic recording medium including a perpendicular magnetization layer which has a coercive force of 250-600 Oe. in a direction perpendicular to a plane thereof and which is 0.1-0.5 .mu.m thick.

摘要: A perpendicular magnetic recording and reproducing thin film head of a structure excellent in magnetic characteristics and easy of fabrication, wherein a lower magnetic layer disposed on a flat nonmagnetic substrate is used as a main magnetic pole, a first insulator layer is formed on the main magnetic pole, a conductor for a coil and a second insulator layer are disposed on the first insulator layer, and an upper magnetic layer which lies in contact with the lower magnetic layer through the first insulator layer at one end thereof and directly at the other end thereof and which overlies the second insulator layer in a part thereof other than both the ends is disposed and used as an auxiliary magnetic pole.

摘要: A magneto-resistive type read head has a substrate, a magnetic film exhibiting a magneto-resistive effect arranged in the widthwise direction of the track of a magnetic writing disk, and lead electrodes for feeding an electric current to the track width portion of the magnetic film for reading the signals written in the magnetic writing disk. The magneto-resistive film extends over a width wider than the track width portion and a soft magnetic thin film is formed over the magneto-resistive film on either side of the track width portion to absorb the domain wall so that the magneto-resistive film takes the single domain structure.

摘要: It is intended to provide an exhaust gas treatment system, which allows for VOC removal at lower temperatures and thereby improves the durability of catalysts and suppresses carbon monoxide generation at the final outlet of the system. The present invention provides a treatment system of an exhaust gas containing a nitrogen oxide, carbon monoxide, and a volatile organic compound comprising: an exhaust gas treatment means for removing the nitrogen oxide by reduction with ammonia and partially oxidizing the VOC to CO; and a CO/VOC removal means for oxidizing the CO and partially unreacted VOC, in this order from the upstream flow of the exhaust gas.

摘要: To provide a long-life refractory capable of maintaining durability under severe conditions. The castable refractory comprises a mixture containing at least one of 2 to 10 mass % of silicon carbide and 3 to 10 mass % of chamotte, as an auxiliary raw material, and a binder material, with the remaining balance being one or more main raw materials selected from corundum, mullite, bauxite, chamotte, talc and silica, and is used in an environment exposed to an alkali component-containing hot gas atmosphere. In an alkali component-containing gas atmosphere at a high temperature (750° C. or more), silicon carbide and/or chamotte are vitrified to a thickness of 1 mm or less in the surface layer of the refractory to prevent the alkali component-containing gas from intruding inside of the refractory.

The applying part of a refill unit mounted on a ballpoint type applicator having a pressurizing mechanism in linkage with clicking action is formed by press fitting the rear end of a ballpoint pen tip having a rotatable ball to the attachment portion at the front end of an ink reservoir and a metal tube is squeezed to cover the outer periphery of the attachment portion at the front end of the ink reservoir to which the tip is fitted.
