摘要:
A copper foil for a printed wiring board which has a carbon-containing copper-zinc coating comprising 40 to 90 atomic % of copper, 5 to 50 atomic % of zinc and 0.1 to 20 atomic % of carbon is produced by dipping a copper foil in a non-cyanide copper-zinc electroplating bath containing a copper salt, a zinc salt, a hydroxycarboxylic acid or a salt thereof, an aliphatic dicarboxylic acid or a salt thereof and a thiocyanic acid or a salt thereof, and carrying out electrolysis in the non-cyanide copper-zinc electroplating bath using the copper foil as a cathode to form on at least one surface of the copper foil a carbon-containing copper-zinc coating.

摘要:
A lead frame material, which can be provided with an etching stop layer without requiring a troublesome process such as vapor deposition and has an excellent heat-resistance, is obtained by forming a nickel-phosphorus alloy layer (B) of 1.6 to 10 .mu.m thickness containing 0.3 to 1.0 wt % of phosphorus on a copper or copper alloy layer (A) of 35 to 300 .mu.m thickness, and forming an optional copper layer (C) of 0.2 to 30 .mu.m thickness on the nickel-phosphorus alloy layer (B).

Updating a voice template for recognizing a speaker on the basis of a voice uttered by the speaker is disclosed. Stored voice templates indicate distinctive characteristics of utterances from speakers. Distinctive characteristics are extracted for a specific speaker based on a voice message utterance received from that speaker. The distinctive characteristics are compared to the characteristics indicated by the stored voice templates to selected a template that matches within a predetermined threshold. The selected template is updated on the basis of the extracted characteristics.

This invention provides a switch adapted to close upon pressing by an actuator of a movable piece initially in an open switch position, the actuator being made of a material which melts at a predetermined temperature. The switch opens when melting of the actuator by the heat generated from an overcurrent allows the movable piece to return to its initial position. The movable piece is made of a material which fuses at a predetermined temperature, such that the switch opens upon fusion of the movable piece by the heat generated from the flow of an overcurrent through the movable piece.

An electronic messaging system enables delivery of a stored message to a substitute recipient if the original intended recipient fails to access the message. When a message is being stored, the message originator is asked whether the originator will authorize making the stored message available to a substitute recipient if the original intended recipient fails to access the stored message within a predetermined period of time following storage. If the message originator provides such authorization, a substitute recipient is identified. The identity of the substitute recipient and the conditions under which the message will be made available to the substitute recipient are stored in association with the message. The message originator may be authenticated before the message is stored. The substitute recipient may be authenticated before the message is retrieved from storage for delivery to the substitute recipient.
