    摘要： The trifluoromethylketone derivatives (I) and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof have a human leukocyte elastase inhibiting activity and are useful as human leukocyte elastase inhibitors for treating or preventing degenerative diseases. The trifluoromethylketone derivatives (I) have the following formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 is C.sub.1-6 alkyl which has one or two substituents selected from carboxy, esterified carboxy and di-C.sub.1-6 alkylcarbamoyl; phenyl(C.sub.1-6) alkyl, the phenyl moiety of which may have halogen or nitro or amino substituents and the alkyl moiety of which may have carboxy or esterified carboxy substituents; halo-phenyl; morpholino; or morpholino(C.sub.1-6) alkyl,R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 are each C.sub.1-6 alkyl,X is -- or --NH--, andY is ##STR2## and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof.

    摘要： The invention aims to reduce an error occurring due to the mounting condition of an acceleration sensor. In the case of a two-axis sensor, an angle θ is calculated from outputs (x′, y′) that the acceleration sensor produces when known accelerations (x, y) are applied, and the angle θ is stored in a storage device contained in a casing in which the acceleration sensor is housed. In the case of a one-axis sensor, the ratio of the magnitudes of accelerations is stored. The acceleration detected by the acceleration sensor is compensated by using the value stored in the storage device.

    摘要： A rotary disc for use in a rotary encoder includes a signal generation section having a pattern formed thereon to generate a signal indicative of a rotational angle/phase. The signal generation section has a peripheral surface, which is provided with a linear portion usable as an indicator indicative of the rotational angle/phase represented by the signal generation pattern on the signal generation section. A robot hand is employed to hold the linear portion and attach it through an attachment portion of the rotary disc to a rotor shaft of a motor.
