    摘要: A system for driving a segmented type liquid crystal display comprising a thin film transistor (TFT) array including a plurality of TFTs each having a gate line, a source line, and a drain line, a pair of substrates with one carrying the thin film transistor array coupled to a plurality of segmented display electrodes and the other carrying a common electrode opposite to the segmented display electrodes, a liquid crystal material interposed between the pair of substrates. The system is characterized by a source line and drain line driving circuit for driving the source line and the drain line with a first voltage waveform and a second voltage waveform in such a manner that the ratio of the first voltage amplitude to the second voltage is so selected that both charging and discharging voltages in the forward and backward directions are zero when the TFTs are off.In another aspect of the segmented type display of the present invention, there is additionally provided a separating element for separating the thin film transistor array from the liquid crystal material. In a further aspect, the plurality of pairs of the segmented display electrodes and the common electrodes are allotted equally to each of the pair of substrates.

One support plate has an array of thin film transistors and thin film capacitors both formed thereon, while the other support plate has a counter electrode formed thereon.     摘要: A method of forming a thin-film pattern such as a thin-film circuit component comprises successive formation of a first metal layer and then a photo resist layer on a substrate by the utilization of a photoetching technique. The substrate having the first metal layer and the photo resist layer on the top of the first metal layer is deposited with second metal layers which are discontinued from each other, one of the second metal layers being deposited on the top of the photo resist layer while the other of the second metal layers is deposited directly on the substrate around the first metal layer. The substrate assembly is then immersed into a solvent bath to remove the photo resist layer together with the second metal layer resting thereon and is thereafter immersed into an etchant bath to remove the first metal layer, leaving the second metal layer on the substrate.

    摘要: A porous separator used for an electrochromic display cell is treated by lyophilic methods so as to be impregnated by an electrolyte. The lyophilic treatment makes it possible to assure that the electrolyte is well impregnated into the porous separator. An angle of contact between the porous film and the electrolyte is selected within an amount less than 20 degrees. A cavity is introduced into the electrochromic display cell, which does not contain the electrolyte therein for the absorption of the cubic expansion of the electrolyte.

Therefore, the output signal from the detector indicates whether the electrochromic display is held in the colored state or the bleached state.

The present invention relates to a printed wiring board including: an insulating layer; and a signal layer including a set of at least two signal lines and disposed on one side of the insulating layer. The insulating layer has a laminated structure of a thick layer, the substrate, and a thin layer. A ratio of a thickness of the thick layer to a thickness of the thin layer is greater than five.

    摘要: An electric pump for supplying a hydrogen gas to a fuel cell includes a rotary shaft rotatably inserted through an electric motor, a transmitting member provided on one of an outer peripheral surface of the rotary shaft and an inner peripheral surface of the electric motor so as to be rotatable therewith, and a groove formed in the other of the outer peripheral surface of the rotary shaft and the inner peripheral surface of the electric motor for the transmitting member to be inserted therein. The groove transmits a rotary torque of the electric motor to the rotary shaft by contacting an inner surface of the groove and the transmitting member and has an opening width along a rotary direction of the rotary shaft which is larger than the width of the transmitting member. The groove and the transmitting member produce an impact torque when the electric pump is started.
