    摘要: A low profile gastrointestinal tube feeding system having a securing device for securing a feeding set to a low profile gastrostomy tube thereof disposed inside the viscera of a patient's body so that inadvertent removal of the feeding set from the gastrostomy tube is prevented. The feeding set includes hollow tubing connected to a source of fluid at one end and a connection member at the other end for connection to the gastrostomy tube and establishing fluid flow communication with the patient. The low profile gastrostomy tube includes an external retention member having legs that seat and retain the external retention member against the patient's outer body and a tubular member that is disposed inside the stomach or other viscera of a patient. The connection member attaches to the external retention member and is secured thereto using a securing device. The securing device includes a top portion and a bottom portion which are adapted to simultaneously engage respective portions of the connection member and external retention member when the securing device is brought into sliding engagement thereto. The connection member is maintained in secure engagement with the external retention member through the securing device and neither part can be separated unless the securing device is first disengaged from either the connection member or external retention member. Thus, the securing device prevents inadvertent removal of the feeding set from the gastrostomy tube.

The set comprises tubing for flow of fluid along a fluid pathway, and a mounting member on the tubing for engaging the flow control apparatus. The fluid pathway extends linearly through the mounting member. The mounting member has at least two receiving portions, each adapted to receive an identification member. One or more identification members are selectively positioned on one or more of the receiving portions of the mounting member to permit identification of the administration set as having a particular functional configuration different from another functional configuration. Other embodiments, including a method of identifying an administration feeding set, are disclosed.

    摘要: A valve system is provided having a housing including a first end, a second end and a first passageway. The housing has a first port and a second port. A valve member is disposed within the housing and movable relative thereto. The valve member defines a portion of the first passageway that includes a first opening configured for alignment and sealed fluid communication with the first port and the second port. The portion of the first passageway further includes a second opening having a greater relative dimension than the first opening. The valve member is manipulable to establish sealed fluid communication between the first opening and the first port or the second port while maintaining continuous sealed fluid communication between the second opening and the first passageway adjacent to the second end of the housing. The valve member can be disposed within the housing for rotation relative thereto.

A medical device support member extends from the clamp member and is configured to support a cooperatively configured medical device. The medical device support member may include a socket which receives a post that extends from the medical device, and a lockdown member having a set-screw portion and a handle is provided to secure the post within the socket. The post has a circumferential channel in which the set-screw portion seats, thereby allowing the post to be retained within the socket when the lockdown member is loosened so as to prevent the medical device from being removed from the support member.

    摘要: The present disclosure generally relates to a manifold valve assembly engaged to an inflatable apparatus, such as a cushion to prevent pressure ulcers, for example. The manifold valve assembly is also in communication with a processing device to determine an optimal immersion level for a user seated on the inflatable apparatus. Additionally the processing device, in communication with the manifold valve assembly may save optimal immersion or air pressure levels for comparison to future checks of cushion pressure and send that to a user interface at the processing device. The assembly and processing device may also save and display a history of pressure checks.
