摘要: There is provided a composition having therein a base oil with a specified kinematic viscosity and with a specified total amount of aromatics, comprising, in specified amounts based on the total weight of the composition: (b) an alkaline earth metal salicylate detergent; (c) a zinc dialkyldithiophosphate; (d) a succinimide ashless dispersant containing a polybutenyl group having a specified number-average molecular weight; (e) a phenol ashless antioxidant; (f) a molybdenum dithiocarbamate friction modifier; and (g) a viscosity index improver in such an amount that the kinematic viscosity of said composition ranges from 5.6 to 12.5 mm.sup.2 /s at 100.degree. C. The present invention provides an engine oil which has excellent fuel consumption and maintains the fuel consumption for a long period of time.

摘要: The present invention provides a lubricating oil composition comprising: a lubricating base oil including a lubricating base oil component having a urea adduct value of 4% by mass or less, a kinematic viscosity of 25 mm2/s or less at 40° C. and a viscosity index of 120 or greater, wherein the amount of the lubricating base oil component is 10 to 100% by mass based on a total mass of the lubricating base oil, and a poly(meth)acrylate based viscosity index improver including a structural unit represented by general formula (1): wherein R1 represents hydrogen or a methyl group, and R2 represents a straight or branched hydrocarbon group with 16 or more carbon atoms, and wherein the proportion of the structural unit represented by general formula (1) is 0.5 to 70% by mole, the lubricating oil composition having a kinematic viscosity of 4 to 12 mm2/s at 100° C. and a viscosity index of 140 to 300.

摘要: The present invention provides a low ash engine oil composition which, despite the low ash content, has engine detergency which enables the composition to pass severe detergency tests for diesel engine oils. The engine oil composition contains 0.6 percent by mass or less of a sulfated ash and comprises a low ash engine oil composition with a sulfated ash content of 0.6 percent by mass or less, which comprises: a lubricating base oil with a % CA of 2 or less, a kinematic viscosity at 40° C. of 25 mm2/s or less and a viscosity index of 120 or greater; a viscosity index improver contained in such an amount that the viscosity index of the composition will be 160 or greater; (A) a metallic detergent with a metal ratio of 3 or less; and/or (B) a sulfur-free phosphorus compound.

摘要: The lubricating oil composition of the invention includes a lubricating base oil with a kinematic viscosity at 100° C. of 1-6 mm2/s, a % Cp of 70 or greater and a % CA of no greater than 2, and a viscosity index improver which, when added to the lubricating base oil, results in an A/B ratio of less than 3.2 and a C/B ratio of less than 1.5. A is the thickening effect on the kinematic viscosity at 100° C., B is the thickening effect on the HTHS viscosity at 150° C., and C is the thickening effect on the HTHS viscosity at 100° C.

It further provides a lubricating oil composition comprising a lubricating base oil with a kinematic viscosity at 100° C. of 1-6 mm2/s, a % Cp of 70 or greater and a % CA of no greater than 2, a hydrocarbon-based viscosity index improver with a PSSI of no greater than 20, and a poly(meth)acrylate-based viscosity index improver.

摘要: The present invention provides a lubricating oil composition for an internal combustion engine used mainly to drive a generator and to improve the fuel economy thereof. The composition comprises (A) a base oil being a hydrocarbon base oil having a ratio (CA/CB) of the proportion of the component of 24 or fewer carbon atoms (CA) and the proportion of the component of 25 or more carbon atoms (CB) in the carbon number distribution obtained by gas chromatography distillation of 2.0 or higher, the composition having a ratio (Vs/Vk) of the 80° C. high-temperature high-shear (HTHS) viscosity (Vk) and the 150° C. HTHS viscosity (Vs) of 0.4 or higher and a 100° C. kinematic viscosity of 5.2 mm2/s or higher and 8 mm2/s or lower.

The lubricating oil composition includes: (A1) a lubricant base oil as a main component having a kinematic viscosity at 100 degree C. being 1 to 8 mm2/s, pour point being −15 degree C. or less, aniline point being 100 degree C. or more, paraffinic content in saturates being 40 mass % or more, monocyclic naphthenic content being 25 mass % or less, bicyclic to hexacyclic naphthenic content being 35 mass % or less, iodine number being 2 or less, and ratio of tertiary carbon to the total carbon atoms composing the (A1) being 6.3% or more. The total mass of the composition is: (B) 0.005 to 0.5 mass % of a metallic detergent as metal content; (C1) 0.005 to 0.2 mass % of a boron-containing succinimide ashless dispersant as boron content; and (D) 0.005 to 0.2 mass % of a metal salt of phosphorus-containing acid as phosphorus content.
