摘要: A method to adjust the angular position of a camshaft, which is related to the arc of a crankshaft rotation, to a setpoint angular position with the help of a final controlling element that is triggered by an actuating signal from a controlling device that becomes operational when a control program is run. The final controlling element is able to be triggered in each case by one of three values of the actuating signal; the re-adjustment rate (v.sub.-- ESTIMATED) of the camshaft is estimated for its level at the beginning of the subsequent program run; from this re-adjustment rate and the known time response (c, v.sub.-- END) of the camshaft re-adjustment, after the switch is made to the actuating signal from the hold value, a special adjustment angle (.alpha..sub.-- ESTIMATED+) is estimated; and the change is already made from the early or late value of the actuating signal to its hold value when the deviation between the adjustment angle (.alpha..sub.-- ESTIMATED+) and the setpoint angular position lies within a tolerance band. The angular position of the camshaft is thereby able to be adjusted in a rapid and stable manner.

摘要: Enacted in a stereoscopic display system, a method to display a virtual object at a specified distance in front of an observer. The method includes sensing positions of the right and left eyes of the observer, and based on these positions, shifting a right or left display image of the virtual object. The shift is of such magnitude and direction as to confine the positional disparity between the right and left display images to a direction parallel to an interocular axis of the observer, in an amount to place the virtual object at the specified distance.

摘要: The present invention relates to a charging circuit (20) for charging an energy storage element (30). The charging circuit (20) comprises a feedback module (201), a controlling module (202), a switching module (203) and a storage module (204), wherein the controlling module (202) is configured to adjust the control signal so as to increase the ON-OFF ratio of the switching module (203) when the feedback signal is substantially smaller than a reference signal, or to adjust the control signal so as to decrease the ON-OFF ratio of the switching module (203) when the feedback signal is substantially larger than a reference signal. By applying the charging circuit (20), the charging time for the energy storage element (30) is shorter and therefore less power from the power source (10) is consumed.

摘要: A method and an administration system (CCMS) are proposed for monitoring of disposal processes for funds (GM) which are accepted by at least one money acceptance system (CP) and which are removed from the monetary cycle, wherein inventory data (B1, B2) about the disposed funds (GM) are detected. The administration system (CCMS) has a first data interface (IF1) in order to receive first inventory data (B1) from the at least one money acceptance system (CP) and has a second data interface disposal device (WTU) which disposes of the funds (GM) from the monetary cycle. In addition, the administration system (CCMS) has at least one computing unit which compares the first and the second inventory data (B1, B2) with each other, and depending on this comparison, generates results data (R) for at least one device (BK) which administers the ownership of the funds (GM).

摘要: A set of wireless devices can be coupled together using a radio frequency identification (RFID) system. The system includes an RFID writer for writing a unique identifier to an RFID tag stored in a transmitter device. The unique identifier can then be used to identify a wireless signal sent from the transmitter device to a receiver device. The receiver may also include an RFID tag, and the two devices may share a secret encryption key for use in creating an encrypted link between the transmitter and receiver. Virtual links may also be established at a distribution center by writing an address through a closed box into each device RFID. One or more RFID writers may be used to verify the identifier written to the RFID tags, carry out quality control checks, and track products to prevent inventory leaks and verify that sold products are certified.

摘要: A network termination (NT) which is universally applicable and permits fair billing. The network termination (NT) according to the invention is characterized in that it comprises a switching facility (DET, 1, 2, 3) whereby the interface (a/b, U) on the network side is switchable from an analog one (a/b) to a digital one (U). A subscriber who needs a digital interface, for example because he wants to have two B channels of the ISDN at his free disposal, can release a digital interface (U) or have it released. A subscriber who wants only an analog access can release an analog access or have it released. To accomplish this, the network termination (NT) contains a switch (3) and a detector (DET). The switching between analog access and digital access on the network side can be effected without replacement of the network termination (NT).

摘要: A wireless peripheral interface is used for coupling with a Universal Serial Bus (USB) port for connecting a wireless peripheral with a host computer or controller. Wireless peripheral devices (e.g., keyboard, mouse, trackball, touch pad, joysticks, and game controllers) transmit communication signals, e.g., radio frequency (RF) signals, to the peripheral interface, which are received and processed into formats suitable for transmission to the host computer or controller via USB, either alone or in combination with other standard external bus systems, such as serial and PS/2.

摘要: To provide an interactive video service, a system is disclosed comprising a video server (VOD), an integrated services digital network (ISDN), and customer premises equipment (END) with a video telephone (TEL). The video server (VOD) has a memory (MEMO) in which a number of video signals, e.g., newscasts, are stored, as well as a transmitting unit (SEN) and a receiving unit (EMP), by means of which it is connected with the video telephone (TEL) via the integrated services digital network (ISDN). Via the video telephone (TEL), the customer calls the video server (VOD) to establish a switched connection, and selects from among a number of video signals available. By means of a control unit (CTRL) in the video server (VOD), the selected video signal is read from the memory of the video server and transmitted in real time over the switched connection to the video telephone (TEL). The customer can release the connection at any time, whereby the transmission of the video signal is stoppped.
