Abstract:
This invention is in the field of plant molecular biology. More specifically, this invention pertains to isolated nucleic acid fragments encoding PAE or PAE-Like proteins in plants and seeds and the use of such fragments to modulate expression of a gene encoding PAE or PAE-Like protein activity in a transformed host cell.
Abstract:
Transgenic soybean seed having increased total fatty acid content of at least 20% and altered fatty acid profiles when compared to the total fatty acid content of non-transgenic, null segregant soybean seed are described. DGAT genes from Yarrowia lipolytica combined with plastidic phosphoglucomutase down regulation are used to achieve the increase in seed storage lipids.
Abstract:
Preparation and use of isolated nucleic acids useful in altering the oil phenotype in plants. Isolated nucleic acids and their encoded polypeptides that alter alpha- and beta-tocotrienol content in seeds and oil obtained from the seeds. Expression cassettes, host cells and transformed plants containing the foregoing nucleic acids.
Abstract:
Transgenic soybean seed having increased total fatty acid content of at least 10% and altered fatty acid profiles when compared to the total fatty acid content of non-transgenic, null segregant soybean seed are described. DGAT genes from oleaginous organisms are used to achieve the increase in seed storage lipids.
Abstract:
Transgenic oilseeds having increased total fatty acid content of at least 10% and altered fatty acid profiles when compared to the total fatty acid content of null segregant oilseeds are described. Novel DGAT genes are used to achieve the increase in seed storage lipids.
Abstract:
A device for delivering fuel has a fuel delivery unit placed inside a fuel tank and which consists of a swirl pot with a fuel pump situated therein for delivering fuel out via a flow line to an internal combustion engine, and with a ventilation system located inside the fuel tank and serves to withdraw fuel vapors from the fuel tank. This ventilation system consists of ventilation lines and a liquid trap for precipitating fuel. The ventilation lines are arranged with one end in the upper area of the fuel tank, and, with the other end, lead into the liquid trap. An activated charcoal filter located downstream from the liquid trap has a connection to the atmosphere. The liquid trap and the activated charcoal filter are situated next and at the height of the swirl pot. At least the liquid trap is mechanically connected to the swirl pot.

Abstract:
A ventilation device (1) for a fuel container (2) with a liquid trap (3) and a suction jet pump (8) which is provided for emptying the liquid trap (3) has a filling-level limit switch (11) for detecting the filling level of fuel in the liquid trap (3). A valve (10) which is connected to the filling-level limit switch (11) is connected upstream of the suction jet pump (8). The suction jet pump (8) is first activated by means of the valve (10) when the intended filling level of fuel in the liquid trap (3) is exceeded.
Abstract:
In a control method for an internal combustion engine (1) which has a fuel tank (18), a fuel vapor storage device (25) for storing the escaping fuel vapors and a controllable valve (28) for adjusting the stream of fuel vapors fed to the intake tract (4) during a period of tank ventilation, the valve (28) is controlled in such a way according to the method that the stream of fuel vapors varies during the tank ventilation period. The regeneration of the fuel vapor storage device is intended to be improved thereby.
