Moreover, the invention provides an agronomically elite soybean plant with non-transgenic mutations conferring a gyclinin null phenotype, increased β-conglycinin content, and increased α′-subunit content of β-conglycinin in the seed. The invention also provides derivatives, and plant parts of these plants and uses thereof. Methods for producing such plants are also provided.

An apparatus and method for controlling the movement of a food product in a container is described. The apparatus can be cleanable, portable, and fully automated. It can include a main container for holding the food product and one or more other containers for holding a substance, such as liquid. The main container can be moved between the one or more other containers so that the food product is immersed in the substance (e.g., liquid) in the one or more other containers. Any of the containers can be heated to heat the food product. This movement of the main container can be used run fully automated cycles (e.g., sprouting, rinsing, soaking, cooking, cleaning, etc.) that do not require user interaction.

The claimed synthetic sequences utilize plant-optimized codons roughly in the same frequency at which they are utilized, on average, in genes naturally occurring in the plant species. The invention further includes synthetic DNA sequence for herbicide tolerance, water and/or heat stress tolerance, healthy oil modifications and for transformation marker genes and selectable marker genes are used. DNA construct and transgenic plants containing the synthetic sequences are taught as are methods and compositions for using the plants in agriculture.

The method for preparing fermented soybean meal enables prevention of contamination by various germs while shortening the time required for its preparation compared to the conventional method. Disclosed is a novel process for the preparation of novel raw material for functional foods containing bioactive materials, comprising activating the enzymes of edible plant seeds at a temperature of 10-35° C. for a period of 5-72 hours with oxygen and water until reaching the maximum nutritional value of the seeds, then the seeds together with their sprouts are treated in the aqueous solution or suspension or emulsion of physiologically or dietetically advantageous materials between 60-100° C. for a period of 10-180 minutes, and then the raw material containing the physiologically important biological materials in this enhanced concentration is separated, dried, optionally chopped and packed. The invention also relates to the products of the novel preparation process and their use.
