摘要： An interior of the package box is partitioned by an intermediate partition plate into a first accommodation portion and a second accommodation portion. A small partition plate is folded into the package box to form a third accommodation portion. An instruction manual and a device body are accommodated in the first accommodation portion and the second accommodation portion, and a small article and the like are accommodated in the third accommodation portion. The small partition plate is prevented from unfolding open by an edge side of the first connection piece. Therefore, the small article and the like accommodated in the third accommodation portion do not move into the first accommodation portion. The third accommodation portion can be formed by a simple operation (inserting operation is unnecessary) only by folding the small partition plate into the package box.

摘要： A disk playback device with disk changer functions and having a stacker for storing two or more disks for playback allows a new disk to be added or disks to be changed without removing the stacker. The disk playback device is also convenient for playback of single disks not to be stored in the stacker. Transport of the disks is accomplished by displacement of holders in which the disks are individually received. When a disk is in the read position, it is clamped in place and the holder is lowered to a nonobstructing position to allow the disk to be read. The number of holders exceeds the number of stored disks, whereby a vacant holder is available for conveniently reading a disk not stored in the magazine.

摘要： Each of formula constituent elements represented in real mathematical notation is written by a user via an input device on a display screen. While confirming positions of graphic elements indicative of each of the respective inputted constituent elements with respect to the display screen, the user forms a desired formula. On the basis of types of the inputted constituent elements and their positions on the display screen, an arithmetic relationship between the formula constituent elements is automatically obtained by a computer. A computer program to solve this formula is automatically produced by the computer based on the resultant arithmetic relationship. The solutions of the formula are displayed on the display screen as numeral values and graphic representations.

摘要： A display apparatus automatically rounds corners of a rectangular area frame for display thereof, the rectangular area frame including that of a window or that of a graph and the like displayed within the window. The rounding is effected by automatically calculating and displaying circular arcs (ellipstic arcs) of corners based on the inputted corner coordinates of the rectangular area frame, or by not displaying one or several dots of each corner. In the case where multi-windows are displayed in an overlap manner or a plurality of rectangular area frames are displayed within a window, the corners are not displayed stiffly and emphasized unnecessarily, thus providing a visually soft and natural display image, improving the quality of displayed images, and providing an improved handy method for use by an operator. In a document editing apparatus, the corners of a rectangular frame of a window or of a rectangular area for display of graphs or the like in the window are visually recognized as being round, whereas the corners of a hard copy are formed with original right angles.
