    摘要: A communication apparatus realizes an FEC function. In the communication apparatus, a T_FEC-pattern comparing unit calculates a code distance between a pattern of an input FEC frame falling in a certain detection window and the pre-defined T_FEC pattern for each of the detection windows one after another. Moreover, a code-distance comparing unit compares the code distances with each other to detect a code for boundary identification T_FEC between an IEEE802.3 frame and a FEC parity. Finally, a boundary-signal generating unit generates, based on the detected code for boundary identification T_FEC, a T_FEC boundary signal that indicates a detection position of the T_FEC in the input FEC frame.

    摘要: In a PON system, clocks of an optical network unit and an optical line terminal are synchronized. An optical network unit generates a new encryption key and transmits it to an optical line terminal. The optical network unit transmits a notification that includes an encryption key changing time to the optical line terminal. Finally, the optical network unit and the optical line terminal change previously held encryption keys to the new encryption key at the encryption key changing time.

    摘要: The invention provides an imprinting jig for transferring a pattern onto a thermoplastic sheet. The imprinting jig is provided with: a first die having a surface with a pattern; a die holder for supporting the first die; an elastic member placed between the first die and the die holder; and a second die opposing to the first die. The thermoplastic sheet is placed on the surface with the pattern of the first die. The imprinting jig optionally includes an adhesion reducing means between the elastic member and the first die or between the elastic member and the die holder.

    摘要: A magnetic recording medium based on the perpendicular magnetic recording system includes a substrate; a back layer which is formed on the substrate and which is formed of a soft magnetic material; an in-plane magnetized layer which is formed on the back layer and which has in-plane magnetization; and a recording layer which is formed on the in-plane magnetized layer and which has perpendicular magnetization, wherein the in-plane magnetized layer has a coercivity in an in-plane direction larger than a magnetic field generated by residual magnetization in a perpendicular direction of the recording layer. The influence on the reproduction output, caused by the mirror image effect of the soft magnetic back layer is reduced in wide range recording densities, thereby improving the resolution by decreasing the difference between the reproduction outputs of the magnetic recording medium at the low recording density and at the high recording density.
