摘要: According to the present invention, a method for repairing a defective pixel of a liquid crystal display device is provided. The liquid crystal display device includes a first transparent substrate on an internal surface of which switching elements are formed; a second transparent substrate which is provided being spaced apart from the first transparent substrate and on an internal surface of which a black mask pattern is formed; liquid crystal interposed between the first and the second transparent substrates having a twisted-nematic orientation; and two polarizing plates provided on external surfaces of the first and the second transparent substrates. The method includes the steps of: applying a photosensitive resin composition containing a photosensitive resin and a colorant to the second transparent substrate on a light-outgoing side of the liquid crystal display device; irradiating light rays from an external light source so as to cure the resin composition at a position corresponding to that of a defective pixel on the polarizing plate on the light-outgoing side of the liquid crystal display device, the position being on optical paths of the light rays incident from the external light source; and removing an uncured resin composition from a surface of the polarizing plate on the light-outgoing side. According to the method of the invention, a light-shielding portion is easily formed at the position corresponding to that of the defective pixel by patterning.

摘要: A thin-film semiconductor device having a CMOS inverter comprising a pair of n-type and p-type thin-film transistors, wherein the gate electrode of at least one of the paired thin-film transistors comprises a plurality of gate electrode sections spaced apart along the channel length. The channel region of the n-type thin-film transistor is doped with p-type impurities. This structure serves to reduce the leakage current and maintain high OFF resistance for a high source-drain voltage. Further, since a good symmetry of characteristics is maintained between the n-type and p-type thin-film transistors that constitute the CMOS inverter, no appreciable bias is caused in the output voltage of the CMOS inverter.

摘要: A card connector provides for reliable grounding and, at the same time, makes it possible to simplify the mounting, maintenance and servicing operations. Card connector (10) comprises a main body (11) including a dielectric housing (13) accommodating multiple electrical contacts (12) and a grounding member (14) that is fabricated separately from the main body (11) and is secured thereto. The grounding member (14) has tabs (17) that electrically connect with an outer surface of a card inserted in the card connector (10) and connecting sections (16), the purpose of which is to electrically connect with electrical circuitry of a circuit board. The grounding member (14) can be latchably attached to the main body (11) that is mounted to the circuit board (100), and if necessary, it can be removed, thus providing access to connecting sections (12a) of electrical contacts (12).

摘要: The present invention is directed to a cap housing for carrying electrical connectors to be mounted onto solder pads or through-holes on a printed circuit board or other circuitry. The cap housing has a plurality of electrical connector receiving cavities profiled to be relatively complementary in shape and of slightly larger dimension to the exterior profile of the electrical connector received within the cap housing. A floating arrangement of the electrical connector within the cap housing is thereby created which prevents coplanarity problems which contribute to non-filled or partially filled solder joints.

摘要: A connector adapted to be detachably connected to a flat electric cable having terminal members including contact portions and legs connected to the contact portions which are bent in such a manner that the end portions of the legs are staggered alternately in a zigzag manner forming two lines of legs. The end portions of the legs extend either in the axial or the direction perpendicular to the axial direction of the connector. The legs may be made of equal length before bending and or bent preferably such that the ends of all of the legs flow substantially in the same plane.
