Abstract: An electric motor includes a housing, a stator assembly disposed in the housing, a rotor assembly rotatably disposed in the stator assembly, and an impeller configured to be rotated by the rotor assembly and to generate a flow of air. The stator assembly defines an inner flow path configured to guide a part of the air to pass through an inside of the stator assembly. The housing defines a bypass flow path at an outside of the stator assembly, where the bypass flow path is configured to guide another part of the air to bypass the stator assembly.

Abstract: Provided is a cooking appliance. The cooking appliance includes a cavity assembly having a cooking chamber and a door that selectively opens or closes the cooking chamber. Abstract: A fan motor includes: a motor body; a rotary shaft assembly having a rotor and a bearing mounted on a rotary shaft; a stator that surrounds the rotor; an impeller connected to the rotary shaft; and a bracket including a bearing housing portion for receiving the bearing. The bearing housing portion defines a bearing heat dissipating flow path that allows air to be discharged to an outside of the bearing housing portion after passing between the outer surface of the bearing and the bearing housing portion. Air blown from the impeller can absorb heat of the bearing by contacting an outer surface of the bearing while passing through the bearing heat dissipating flow path.

Abstract: A fan motor includes: a motor housing; a rotating shaft; a rotor; a stator disposed outside the rotor; an impeller having at least one blade and a hub; and an impeller cover surrounding an outer circumference of the impeller and defining an air suction inlet. The impeller cover includes: a shroud having an inner diameter that expands in an air flow direction; and a non-metallic coating layer coated on an inner circumferential surface of the shroud and having a lower strength than the blade. The non-metallic coating layer includes: a first area having a first thickness; a second area having a second thickness thinner than the first thickness and defining a stepped portion with the first area, thereby minimizing leakage flow caused by the pressure difference from a pressure-side surface to a suction-side surface of the blade to reduce flow path loss and improving efficiency of the fan motor.
