The substrate may receive ambient light from the environment on the external surface and may emit converted light toward the skin.

    摘要: A lighting apparatus comprising a plurality of luminaires, each luminaire comprising a controller configured to operate the luminaire and positioned in communication with a computerized device. Each luminaire may be selectively operable to emit source light characterized by a dominant source light wavelength within a range from 390 nanometers to 750 nanometers. Additionally, at least two of the plurality of luminaires may be operable to emit source lights with different dominant source light wavelengths, and such that one or more source lights emitted by the plurality of luminaires may combine to form a combined light at a distance from the plurality of luminaires defined as a combining distance. Furthermore, the dominant source light wavelength of at least some of the luminaires of the plurality of luminaires may be variable with time.

    摘要: A retrofit canopy light system is provided that has a multi-output power supply assembly in electrical communication with a plurality of luminaire assemblies through a plurality of distribution wires. In one embodiment, each luminaire assembly may receive an electric current from a respective distribution wire extending from the power supply assembly. The power supply assembly may convert high-voltage AC to low-voltage, regulated DC. Each luminaire assembly may comprise a light source and a low profile, heat-dissipating frame in thermal and mechanical communication with the light source. The heat-dissipating frame may be constructed of a thermally conductive material, and may include a plurality of heat sink fins and bars. The heat-dissipating frame may present a substantially flat surface configured for flush mounting adjacent to an existing canopy fixture.

The lamp may further comprise a light guide having an inner surface and an outer surface and a heat dissipating frame having a contact surface in thermal communication with the outer surface of the light guide and comprising a plurality of heat sink rods positioned to abut each other to define the contact surface of the heat dissipating frame. The light source may be configured to emit the source light so as to be incident upon the inner surface of the light guide. The light guide may be configured to change the source light into a shaped light that illuminates a space proximate to the luminaire.

    摘要: An electrical device and method are presented, the device having an enclosure defining an interior volume sealed from the environment and an electronic lighting apparatus, which may include a heat generating element such as a light source, a heat sink, and a fluid flow generator. The heat sink may be positioned partially within the sealed interior volume and adjacent the heat generating element and transfer heat therefrom. The fluid flow generator may create a flow of fluid to transport heat away from the heat sink and to the enclosure. The electronic lighting apparatus may be carried by the enclosure and partially disposed within the interior volume of the enclosure. The electrical device may further include an optic carried by the enclosure that may cooperate with the enclosure to define the sealed interior volume.
