The coating can enhance the pharmaceutical particle by providing a controlled release barrier, moisture barrier, surface modifying agent, wetting agent, flowability or fluidizing agent, hydrophobicity or hydrophilicity agent, flavor masking agent, odor masking agent, release control agent, or coloring agent; or an inert particle can be coated with a pharmaceutically active liquid. Also disclosed are coated pharmaceutical particles made by one of the processes of the invention.

A photoresist composition having: (A) a polymer selected from the group consisting of: (a) a fluorine-containing copolymer having a repeat unit derived from at least one ethylenically unsaturated compound characterized in that at least one ethylenically unsaturated compound is polycyclic; (b) a branched polymer containing protected acid groups, said polymer comprising one or more branch segment(s) chemically linked along a linear backbone segment; (c) fluoropolymers having at least one fluoroalcohol group having the structure: —C(Rf)(Rf′)OH, wherein Rf and Rf′ are the same or different fluoroalkyl groups of from 1 to about 10 carbon atoms or taken together are (CF2)n wherein n is 2 to 10; (d) amorphous vinyl homopolymers of perfluoro(2,2-dimethyl-1,3-dioxole) or CX2═CY2 where X═F or CF3 and Y═—H or amorphous vinyl copolymers of perfluoro(2,2-dimethyl-1,3-dioxole) and CX2═CY2; and (e) nitrile/fluoroalcohol-containing polymers prepared from substituted or unsubstituted vinyl ethers; (B) at least one photoactive component; and (C) a functional compound selected from the group consisting of a base and a surfactant. The polymer may have an absorption coefficient of less than about 5.0m?−1 at a wavelength of about 157 nm. These photoresist compositions have improved imaging properties.

This invention provides methods for enhancing the dissolution rate of Ibuprofen. More particularly, the invention provides a process for enhancing the solubility of Ibuprofen by intimately coating Ibuprofen particles with a Poloxamer. The invention also provides for a composition comprising a solid dosage form of Ibuprofen, wherein the surfaces of Ibuprofen particles have been intimately coated with a Poloxamer; a composition comprising a fast onset, solid dosage form of Ibuprofen; and a composition comprising Ibuprofen particles intimately coated with a Poloxamer.

This invention improves the reliability of an Electro-chemical reference half-cell that contains 2 or more electrolyte chambers isolated with porous liquid junctions. The purpose of the reference half-cell is to provide a stable ionic contact to a solution, resulting in the output potential being a function only of the ion specific membrane. In this invention, the primary half-cell is isolated from the process by a second or third electrolyte chamber. In one of the secondary chambers an identical half-cell is inserted to monitor the difference between the primary junction and one of the secondary chambers that are being altered over time. The difference between these two halve cells are monitored and the user is alerted of the degradation of the exposed cell. This indication occurs in advance of significant attack of the primary reference half-cell.

The instant invention is directed to a protective covering for application on livestock feedstuffs to prevent spoilage of the feedstuffs that is also edible by livestock, and includes a nutritive starch source to provide a nutritive aggregate ingredient, a salt to promote stability in a protective solution, a non-protein nitrogen source to act as a surfactant, and cement to promote spraying application of the protective solution formed from the covering. The instant invention is directed to a protective covering that includes a dry mixture, to which a sufficient amount of water is added to form an aqueous solution. The dry mixture includes a nutritive starch source, a salt source, a non-protein nitrogen source such as urea, and a gelling agent. Water is added to the dry mixture, resulting in the instant protective solution. The protective solution is then applied to various target surfaces, which include typical livestock feedstuffs such as silage, hay and grain. After it has set-up, the protective solution forms a protective covering over the feedstuffs.
