摘要： A prefilled syringe provides for secure assembly of the components prior to use. The syringe includes a hollow barrel having opposed open ends and a plunger manually operable within one of the ends of the barrel. An injection holder is attached to the other end of the barrel. An injection member such as a hypodermic needle assembly or an IV access device is removably secured to the injection holder. The cover accommodates the injection member and is removably attached to the injection holder. The cover is movable with respect to the injection holder from a first position where the cover is retained on the injection holder to a second position where the cover is removed from the injection holder. Movement of the cover from the first position to the second position assures the removable securement of the injection member to the injection holder.

摘要： A medical device is provided which includes a shield system and a syringe which is coupled to the shield system. The shield system includes a syringe holder and a shield which is slidably coupled to the holder. A spring resiliently urges the shield from a retracted position to an extended position. Stop members are provided on the holder and shield for maintaining the shield in the retracted position. The syringe is slidably coupled to the holder, and extends within the shield. Axial movement of the syringe with respect to the holder causes disengagement of the stop members, allowing the spring to move the shield to the extended position. Detents are provided on the holder for maintaining the shield in the extended position.

摘要： A spray device including a barrel having a bypass and at least two spaced stoppers defining a first and second chambers and a spray nozzle. Movement of the first stopper drives the second stopper to the bypass and the fluid in the first chamber into the second chamber, mixing the fluid and substance. Continued movement of the first and second stoppers drives the mixture through the spray nozzle. The spray device may include a third stopper having a body in the tubular barrel which is moved toward the spray nozzle. The movement of the third stopper provides space for the mixture and prevents unpressurized fluid from flowing through the spray nozzle. The third stopper includes an axial stalk. The stalk may be deformable or the stalk may be separate from the body and the spray nozzle includes a longitudinal internal passage which provides communication with the spray port.
