Abstract:
A fluid dispenser device having a body (1), and a dispenser head (2) provided with an orifice (3) and that is axially movable relative to the body (1). The body receives a reservoir (10) containing fluid, the reservoir has a hollow tube (11) having a proximal axial opening (12) closed by a stopper (20) adapted to slide in the tube (11). The dispenser head (2) includes a hollow cannula (4) connected at one end to the dispenser orifice (3), and provided at its other end with a perforating tip (5) having an opening (6) for perforating the stopper (20), the opening (6) defining a peripheral edge (7) extending around the opening (6) and includes a distal axial end and a proximal axial end, the distal axial end forming the distal axial end (59) of the perforating tip (5) arranged on the longitudinal central axis (A) of the cannula (4).
Abstract:
A fluid dispenser device comprising: a reservoir (10) containing at least two doses of fluid; a dispenser member (20), such as a piston, that is mounted to slide in said reservoir (10) so as to dispense the fluid; a dispenser head (30) that is provided with a dispenser orifice (31), said head being movable relative to said reservoir (10) so as to move said actuator member (20) in said reservoir (10) and thus dispense the fluid through said dispenser orifice (31); said dispenser head (30) including at least two viewing windows (35, 36), said device including an indicator (40) that is movable together with said reservoir (10), said indicator (40) co-operating with a respective viewing window (35, 36) after each actuation of the device.
Abstract:
A metering end cap provided to the neck of a flexible container containing a fluid and intended to transfer, at will, an amount of fluid from an upstream space towards a downstream space, this end cap including a chamber in which is disposed a movable valve normally biased towards a rest position and operationally moved towards an end position. The valve isolates the upstream space and the downstream space from each other in its end position and only in this position, and the outlet of the chamber communicates with the upstream space for any position of the valve other that its end position.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a device (1) for delivering two predetermined doses of a product (3), comprising: —a container (2) for containing said product, said container having a distal end (2d) through which the product is delivered under the distal pressure of a piston, —a pusher (7) movable with respect to said container for causing said piston (4) to move in the distal direction from an initial position, in which none of said product has been expelled to a first position, in which a first dose of said product has been expelled, and to a second position, in which a second dose of said product has been expelled, —a holder body (15) receiving said container and said pusher (7), —biasing means (22) for urging said pusher (7) in the distal direction, from the initial to the first position, and to the second position, —first and second retaining means (9, 11, 19) for maintaining said pusher (7) in said initial position, and in said first position, —first and second actuation means (18) to deactivate said first and second retaining means (9, 11, 19), characterized in that said first and/or second actuation means (18) are at least rotationally displaceable, said rotation causing at least part of the deactivation of said first and/or second retaining means (9, 11, 19).
Abstract:
A spray or injection device that includes a casing or a pusher that includes at least one tab radially moveable between a first radial position, in which the tab does not impede the movement of the pusher with respect to the casing, and a second radial position in which the tab opposes movement of the pusher. The pusher or the casing, respectively, includes at least one ramp-shaped projection configured to bring the tab into the second radial position and then allow it to return to the first radial position. The pusher or the casing further includes at least one stop between the pusher and casing to delineate the end of a first stroke corresponding to a first dose of medicament, and the beginning of a second stroke corresponding to a second dose of medicament.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a metered, mechanically propelled, liquid dispenser. It has a main body cylinder having liquid and liquid advancing mechanism for advancing the liquid into a metered dosage dispensing chamber. There is a cocking mechanism which includes a lock pin, a stressed slot and a rest slot. When the cocking mechanism is locked, the advancing means is moved and liquid is ready for firing from the metered dosage dispensing chamber through a dispensing orifice. The cocking mechanism is slowly rotated while holding the main body cylinder vertically and the pin is manually moved into the rest slot thereby causing a plunger to be forced by a spring to push against a stop on a trigger which advances the trigger to rapidly force the liquid out of the metered dosage dispensing chamber through the dispensing orifice. The dispensing orifice includes a one-way valve which allows the liquid to be dispensed while preventing air from returning to the device.
Abstract:
A dispenser is disclosed which is made up of two telescoping sections. One section holds at least one volume of a substance to be discharged. Telescoping motion of the sections compresses the substance to be discharged to force it through a passage in the section not holding the substance volume to be discharged therefrom. Motion between the section is limited to ensure precise metering of a charge to be dispersed.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to fluid delivery devices for supplying a fluid, e.g., a flush medium, to a medical device, e.g., a vascular access device, inexpensively. The fluid delivery device includes a collapsible body defining a fluid reservoir and a connector for securing the fluid delivery device to the medical device. The collapsible body can include a bellows or pleated structure. In addition, structure including levers or plungers can be provided to collapse the body.
Abstract:
Fluid applicators for use with topical medications are disclosed herein. An example apparatus includes a housing and a fluid container disposed inside the housing. The example apparatus also includes a pump assembly disposed inside the housing and fluidly coupled to the fluid container. The example apparatus further includes an applicator coupled to the housing. The applicator defines an outlet and has a surface to be in contact with an application site on a person. The surface is in fluid communication with the pump assembly via the outlet. The example apparatus also includes an actuator operatively coupled to the pump assembly. Movement of the actuator from a first position to a second position is to operate the pump to dispense a dose of the fluid onto the surface.
Abstract:
A system comprising a nebulizer, in particular inhaler, having a pre-installed container is proposed. The system comprises a packaging preventing fluidic connection or opening of the container in a delivery state of the nebulizer.
