    摘要： A portable, compact, self-contained child pacifying device is disclosed for use with infant support structures. The device may be attached to such infant support structures through attachment means allowing ready attachment and removal of the pacifying device. The attachment means may include projecting tabs or a pivotable retaining arm located proximate a vibration dampening means. A biasing means retains the attachment means and the pacifying device in position. The device comprises an integral outer case structure within which a battery powered vibratory source is mounted to produce a vibrating motion. The outer case structure attaches to the child carrier through a mounting arrangement fixedly attached to the exterior of the case structure and attachable to the infant support structure.

    摘要： A soft-closing device has a base, a cylinder, a slider and a resilient member. The base has a track channel and at least one guiding channel. The cylinder is mounted in the base and has a housing and an expansion rod. The slider is mounted slidably in the track channel, is connected pivotally to the expansion rod and has two holding arms, a positioning pin and a holding recess defined between the holding arms. The positioning pin is mounted slidably in the at least one guiding channel. The resilient member has two ends connected respectively with the base and the slider.

    摘要： A submount substrate is used for the dual purposes of enabling simultaneous burn-in processing for a relatively large number of arrays of optical transmitters and enabling conventional dicing techniques to be used to form mounting-ready assemblies. In the preferred embodiment, the submount substrate is a silicon wafer that is specifically designed to provide connectivity between VCSEL arrays and burn-in equipment during the testing stage, but is also designed to be segmented and used in the final packaging stage. Because the submount is a silicon wafer, conventional integrated circuit fabrication techniques may be used to form conductive patterns that define array-receiving areas and that allow external circuitry to communicate with the various VCSEL arrays.

    摘要： Biocompatible microparticles include an ophthalmically active cyclic lipid component and a biodegradable polymer that is effective, when placed into the subconjunctival space, in facilitating release of the cyclic lipid component into the anterior and posterior segments of an eye for an extended period of time. The cyclic lipid component can be associated with a biodegradable polymer matrix, such as a matrix of a two biodegradable polymers. Or, the cyclic lipid component can be encapsulated by the polymeric component. The present microparticles include oil-in-water emulsified microparticles. The subconjunctivally administered microparticles can be used to treat or to reduce at least one symptom of an ocular condition, such as glaucoma or age related macular degeneration.
