    摘要: In a method implemented in a communication device configured to transmit PHY data units via a communication channel, first data and second data is received. The first data is modulated according to a first constellation having a first number of constellation points, and the second data is modulated according to a second constellation having a second number of constellation points higher than the first number of constellation points. The first data and the second data is parsed to a plurality of spatial streams such that a first subset of the spatial streams includes at least some of the modulated first data but none of the modulated second data, and a second subset of the spatial streams includes at least some of the modulated second data but none of the modulated first data. A single PHY data unit that includes the plurality of spatial streams is generated.

    摘要: In a method for generating a physical layer (PHY) data unit for transmission via a communication channel, information bits to be included in the PHY data unit are encoded using a forward error correction (FEC) encoder. Also, the information bits are encoded according to a block coding scheme, where m copies of each bit are included in the information bits, and one or more bits in the m copies of each bit are flipped. The information bits are mapped to a plurality of constellation symbols, and a plurality of orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) symbols are generated to include the plurality of constellation symbols. The PHY data unit is generated to include the plurality of OFDM symbols.

    摘要: A first communication device receives a plurality of training signals associated with a transmit beamforming training portion of a current iteration of a beamforming procedure between the first communication device and a second communication device. A receive antenna weight vector (AWV) is applied to an antenna array as each of the plurality of training signals is received. A channel estimate is determined based on reception of the plurality of training signals, and feedback is determined based on the channel estimate. The feedback is transmitted to the second communication device as part of the current iteration of the beamforming procedure.

The midamble is to be transmitted subsequent to transmission of the first portion of the data payload and prior to transmission of the second portion of the data payload. The midamble includes an indication of at least one characteristic of the data payload such as an indication of a size of the second portion of the data payload, or whether or not the data payload includes one or more other portions in addition to the first and second portions. A network interface of a communication device is configured to generate the preamble, the first and second portions of the data payload, and the midamble.
