Abstract:
An assembly for coupling a drug delivery device to a cartridge is disclosed. Optionally the assembly includes a coupling, for example a cannula, having one end extending toward the cartridge. The cartridge is optionally aligned by a guide. Optionally the cartridge has a limited freedom of movement. The coupling is optionally supported by a mount. In some embodiments, the mount is compliant enough that the end of the coupling that extends toward may move to said limited freedom of movement under a force less than a leak threshold of the connection between the coupler and the cartridge.
Abstract:
An alignment assembly for a cartridge interface of a drug delivery device is disclosed. The assembly optionally includes a coupling for opening fluid communication between the cartridge and the delivery device. For example, the coupling optionally includes a cannula insertable through a septum of the cartridge. The assembly may include a guide for positioning the cartridge and/or an access channel thereof within a first precision of a loaded position. The assembly optionally includes a cartridge engagement fitting (for example a gripping expander sleeve collar) attached to the coupling. Optionally when the cartridge is engaged to the fitting, the coupling is retained in connection with the access channel to within a second precision. The second precision is optionally higher than the first precision. In some embodiments one or more compliant supports movably retain the fitting oriented to engage the cartridge when the access channel is in the loaded position.
Abstract:
An aspect of some embodiments of the current application is a doorstop to a drug delivery apparatus that encourages a user of the apparatus to perform the proper usage steps in the proper order. For example, a user may be expected to receive an injector in a transport state, open it to an open state, insert a cartridge, and/or close the cartridge before operation. The doorstop may have an obstructing mode, optionally preventing closing of the door. The cartridge may optionally have a non-obstructing mode allowing closing of the door. Inserting the cartridge may optionally cause a doorstop to move from the obstructing mode to the non-obstructing mode. In the non-obstructing mode the doorstop may optionally prevent removal of the cartridge.
Abstract:
A power supply contact is mountable on a base of a device having a geometry for receiving a power supply and for surface installation of a printed circuit board. The power supply contact includes a base plate mountable on the base of the device, a rail extends upwardly from the base plate, a power supply terminal and an adaptor connecting the rail to the power supply terminal. The rail is in electrical contact with the printed circuit board and the power supply terminal is in electrical contact with the power supply when the printed circuit board and the power supply are installed in the device.

Abstract:
In some embodiments, a power terminal is in electrical connection to a power supply terminal, and a printed circuit board is supplied with a board to power contact. Bringing the board to power contact together with the PCB contact causes an electrical connection between the power supply and the PCB. In some embodiments the electrical connection resists disconnection from the PCB contact without requiring an external force on the PCB. In some embodiments the PCB-to-power-contact and the PCB contact are brought together in a direction perpendicular to a plane of the PCB. In some embodiments the PCB-to-power-contact includes fingers with grasp the PCB contact on two sides.
