摘要: A power regulation unit is provided for regulating power to or from a power tool battery pack. The power regulation unit includes power regulation circuitry and a controller. The power regulation circuitry is configured to regulate a received power. The controller is connected to the power regulation circuitry. The controller is configured to receive input power from one or more battery cells, regulate the input power by performing at least one of a voltage regulation and a current regulation, and output a regulated output power. For voltage regulation, the regulated output power includes a constant voltage regardless of an operating current of the power tool. For current regulation, the regulated output power includes a constant voltage up to a predetermined current threshold.

One embodiment provides a power tool including a housing, a bit receiving portion provided on the housing for receiving a power tool bit, a motor within the housing configured to rotate the bit receiving portion, and a controller coupled to the motor. The controller is configured to enter an electronic spindle lock mode, and detect rotation of the bit receiving portion in a first direction. The controller is also configured to control motor to rotate in a second direction in response to detecting rotation of the bit receiving portion in the first direction.

摘要: A method for controlling a battery-powered power supply. The method includes generating a first output from a first power supply within the battery-powered power supply. The first output is coupled to an output bus. The method further includes monitoring a voltage of the output bus, and determining, using a controller of the battery-powered power supply, whether the voltage of the output bus is less than a first predetermined level. The method further includes deactivating the first power supply in response to determining that the voltage of the output bus is below the first predetermined level, and generating a second output from a second power supply within the battery-powered power supply. The second output is configured to be coupled to the output bus. The second power supply has a higher output rating than the first power supply.

The motor includes a stator assembly having a stator frame with an opening extending therethrough and a plurality of coil windings configured to be selectively powered by the rechargeable battery pack. Moreover, the power tool includes an output drive assembly supported by the housing. The output drive assembly extends through the opening of the stator frame to be operably coupled to the rotor assembly.
