There is provided a method of applying a multilayer coating film, including discharging paint films through multiple slits, simultaneously applying these films to a traveling plate to thereby form a multilayer paint film and carrying out drying or baking thereof, characterized in that with respect to the boiling points of solvents contained in adjacent layers of the multilayer paint film, there is such a relationship that the boiling point of solvent contained in the layer close to the plate is equivalent to or lower than the boiling point of solvent contained in the layer remote from the plate, and that the boiling point of solvent contained in the layer closest to the plate is lower than the boiling point of solvent contained in the layer remotest from the plate.

There are also provided a top clear coated metal plate, which comprises a clear layer as an upper layer, has an interfacial center line average roughness Ra of 0.3 to 0.7 μm and has excellent weathering resistance, a precoated metal plate having excellent processability and corrosion resistance, which contains not less than 30% by mass on average of a rust preventive pigment so that the average rust preventive content of the upper layer is lower than that in the average rust preventive pigment of the lower layer, the concentration gradient is lowered so that the position from around the interface of the upper layer and the lower layer is increased, and the roughness Ra in the interface of the lower layer and the upper layer is 0.3 to 0.7 μm, and a process for producing the same.

    摘要: The invention relates to precoated sheets, including precoated metal sheets, each having an appearance of orange peel, and good workability and scratch resistance. The precoated sheet of the invention has a filtered center line waviness curve (Wca) of the outermost surface of coated film of 0.35 μm≦Wca≦1.25 μm, and a mean spacing of local peaks of filtered center line waviness curve (Wc−sm) of 2800 μm≦Wc−sm≦12500 μm, and has a wavy structure at the interface between the outermost coated film layer and the lower coated film layer. Preferably, the precoated sheet is designed to satisfy the conditions that a wavy curve W revealed when observing the interface between the outermost coated film layer and the lower coated film layer in the section of the film thickness direction (1) comprises a big wave defined as a wave having a region in which A≦0.8B, wherein A is a distance between the outermost surface S of the coated film and the wavy curve W at the interface, and B is an average film thickness of the outermost coated film layer, and (2) has an average distance between the big waves of not greater than 750 μm.
