    摘要: Male sub-connectors 3 are accommodated in apertures 2 formed in a male frame 1, and female sub-connectors 23 are accommodated in apertures 22 formed in a female frame 21. A guide wall 15, on the inside of which the female frame 21 fits closely, is provided around the entire periphery of the top surface of the male frame 1. The female frame 21 is temporarily assembled with hooks 56, which engage longitudinal grooves 57 in the guide wall 15. When a lever 40 is operated so as to draw the male and female frame together, the guide wall 15 ensures the connectors themselves are relieved of lateral loads. In an alternative embodiment a similar arrangement is provided between one pair of connectors tightly engaged in the respective frames.

    摘要: A plastic frame 13 for electrical connectors has an open end 14. A closing plate 18 of plastic is connected to one side of the open end by means of a living hinge. A cover 24 for covering electrical wires is integrally formed on the upper side of the frame 13. During assembly, the closing plate 18 is opened and each connector 1 is inserted into the frame 13 by sliding protruding members 11 along guiding grooves 15. Then the closing plate 18 is closed and latched. The electrical wires coming out of the connector 1 are simultaneously collected together under the cover 24. For disassembly, the closing plate 18 can be unlatched and each connector pulled out one by one.

    摘要: A pair of connector housing may be temporarily engaged so as to facilitate efficient connection operation thereof. A lever 15 is pivotably attached to a side wall of the male connector housing 11. When a female connector housing 12 is inserted into the male connector housing 11, a cam receiving protrusion 17 of a cover 13 resiliently deforms lugs 15a of a lever 15 to be opened, so that the cam receiving portion may be advanced through a portion 23 into a cam groove 16. After such advancement, lugs 15a are returned to their original position by means of resilient deformation, so that the portion 23 is engaged with the cam receiving protrusion 17, so as to prevent dislodgement of the cam receiving protrusion. The thickness of the portion 23 of the cam groove is selected so as to prevent dislodgement of the cam receiving protrusion. A restricting protrusion 24 is protruded laterally from the cam receiving protrusion 17. The restricting protrusion serves to urge the lugs 15 downwardly, so as to maintain constant amount of engagement between the cam receiving protrusion 17 and the portion 23 of the cam groove. Another restricting protrusion 25 extending in a vertical direction may be provided in the side wall 1 of the male connector housing 11.

Each arm (22) has an engaging portion (29). Engaging portions (29B) at the lower stage engage a side wall (25A) of the cavity (13A) at the upper stage during the deformation of the lock (21B). Engaging portions (29A) at the upper stage engage a surrounding wall (41) of the retainer (40) during deformation of the lock (21A). Thus, the locks (21) cannot deform beyond their resiliency limit.
