Heat generated from a fuel cell is released effectively. A fuel cell unit 400 is stored in a fuel cell storing part 201 on the inside of a lower case 200. A control circuit board 403 is mounted on an upper surface of the fuel cell unit 400, and a secondary battery 404 is mounted on the board 403. A heat transfer sheet 411 is attached to an anode plate of the fuel cell unit 400. A heat transfer sheet extension part 412 is joined to an end portion of the heat transfer sheet 411. The heat transfer sheet extension part 412 is provided to cover a reinforcement rib 207 and to extend to the inside of the lower case 200 of a fuel cartridge storing part 202. The heat transfer sheet extension part 412 is set in close contact with the inside of the case 200. Heat can be efficiently conducted from the fuel cell unit 400 to the lower case 200.

A method of analyzing transmission characteristics of signal wiring in a circuit apparatus including the signal wiring and insulative layer is disclosed. The transmission characteristics are analyzed by dividing the circuit apparatus with a mesh and applying electromagnetic analysis method to each unit of the mesh. The method includes the steps of: extracting signal wiring data from 3 dimensional data of the circuit apparatus; designating a sparse mesh region in which the mesh can be made sparse based on the extracted signal wiring data and the 3 dimensional data; and generating sparse mesh in the sparse mesh region. Since the sparse mesh region is designated based on the sizes of the signal wiring and the insulative layer and on the electric properties of the insulative layer, a region that affects the transmission characteristics of the signal wiring only to a small extent can be designated as the sparse mesh region.

A multiple step chemical vapor deposition process for depositing a tungsten layer on a substrate. A first step of the deposition process includes a nucleation step in which WF.sub.6 and SiH.sub.4 are introduced into a deposition chamber. Next, the flow of WF.sub.6 and SiH.sub.4 are stopped and diborane is introduced into the chamber for between 5-25 seconds. Finally, during a bulk deposition step, the WF.sub.6 is reintroduced into the chamber along with H.sub.2 and B.sub.2 H.sub.6 flows to deposit a tungsten layer on the substrate. In a preferred embodiment, the bulk deposition step also introduces nitrogen into the process gas.
