A laminating propylene/1-butene random copolymer composition comprising a propylene/1-butene random copolymer and a low-density polyethylene in a specified proportion. With respect to the propylene/1-butene random copolymer, the content of structural units derived from propylene, content of structural units derived from 1-butene, MFR, Mw/Mn and B-value as a parameter indicating the randomness of copolymer monomer chain distribution fall within specified ranges. With respect to the low-density polyethylene, the MFR and density fall within specified ranges. The invention also provides a composite film comprising a substrate film such as a crystalline polypropylene film and, laminated onto at least one side thereof, a resin layer of the above composition having a thickness of 2 to 200 &mgr;m. The above composition is excellent in laminate moldability and enables producing a composite film having excellent low-temperature sealing properties, blocking resistance and hot tack. The composite film is characterized by having excellent low-temperature sealing properties, blocking resistance, slip properties and hot tack.

Disclosed is a novel polyethylene synthetic pulp giving synthetic paper which may be heat-treated with a heating apparatus attached to a conventional papermaking machine. The polyethylene synthetic pulp comprises fibers of polyethylene which has an MFR (Melt Flow Ratio) of 0.1 to 3,000 g/10 min., and the portion with a low melting point thereof, which melts at a temperature of 95.degree. C. or lower when measured with a DSC (Differential Scanning Calorimeter), is at least 20% by weight, preferably, 40% to 70%.

Disclosed are a polypropylene composition comprising 95-55 parts by weight of polypropylene (A) and 5-45 parts by weight of an ethylene/1-butene random copolymer (B-1) which contains constituent units derived from 1-butene in an amount of 15 to 25% by mol; and a polypropylene composition comprising 95-55 parts by weight of polypropylene (A) and 5-45 parts by weight of an ethylene/1-octene random copolymer (B-2) which contains constituent units derived from 1-octene in an amount of 8 to 20% by mol. Each of the random copolymers (B-1) and (B-2) has an intrinsic viscosity [.eta.] of 1.5 to 3.5 dl/g as measured in decalin, a glass transition temperature (Tg) of not higher than -50.degree. C., a crystallinity of less than 20% as measured by X-ray diffractometry, a randomness parameter (B value) of 1.0 to 1.4 as measured by .sup.13 C-NMR spectroscopy. With respect to a melting point as measured by a differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) as the main peak, the copolymer (B-1) has a value of not higher than 60.degree. C., while the copolymer (B-2) has a value of not higher than 80.degree. C.

The polyamide resin composition of the present invention comprises 100 parts by weight of a polyamide resin and 5 to 200 parts by weight of a graft-modified ethylene/1-butene random copolymer having a graft quantity of an unsaturated carboxylic acid or its derivative of 0.01 to 10% by weight. The graft-modified ethylene/1-butene random copolymer is a graft-modified product of an ethylene/1-butene random copolymer having a 1-butene content of 15 to 25% by mol, an intrinsic viscosity [.eta.] of 0.5 to 3.5 dl/g, a glass transition temperature (Tg) of not higher than -60.degree. C., a crystallinity of less than 10%, and a parameter (B value) indicating randomness of a copolymerized monomer chain distribution, as measured by a .sup.13 C-NMR method, of 1.0 to 1.4. The polyamide resin composition shows high melt flowability, namely, good moldability, and it can provide a molded article excellent in flexibility, low-temperature impact resistance, resistance to water absorption and resistance to saline solutions.
