Abstract:
A tank bleeder valve for the metered admixture of volatilized fuel to the fuel-air mixture of an internal combustion engine has a valve housing with inflow and outflow necks, between which an electromagnetically actuatable seat valve is disposed. The inflow neck communicates with the vent neck of a fuel tank, and the outflow neck communicates with the engine intake manifold. To prevent dieseling of the engine after the ignition is switched off, the seat valve is embodied such that it is very tightly closed when there is no current. To this end, the valve opening of the seat valve is embodied as an annular gap, coaxially surrounded on the inside and outside by a valve seat in the form of an annular double seat. The valve element of the seat valve is embodied as an annular disk of magnetically conductive material, which is loaded with a closing force acting in the closing direction of the seat valve. The annular disk simultaneously acts as the armature of the electromagnet.
Abstract:
The hydraulic setting device has a differential cylinder (11) whose annular space (14) is continually subjected to pressure by a pump (16). The pressure space (18) at the large piston surface is connected to the pump via a connection conduit (41). A conduit branch, which leads to a control valve (21), emerges from this connection conduit (41). At the other end, this control valve is in connection with a return conduit (26). The pressure in the conduit branch (19), and therefore in the pressure spaces (14, 18) of the differential cylinder, can be varied by appropriate activation of the control valve.
Abstract:
A valve control arrangement for internal combustion engines with reciprocating pistons, comprises a housing having a housing opening, a valve piston axially displaceable in the housing opening, a valve closing spring, a valve plunger on which the valve piston acts against the valve closing spring, a cam piston axially displaceable in the housing opening, a valve control cam, a pressing spring which presses the cam piston against the valve control cam, a working chamber formed between the valve piston and the cam piston and arranged to be filled with pressure medium which transmits a lifting movement of the cam piston to the valve piston, the pressing spring which acts on the cam piston being arranged outside of the working chamber and supported at the side of the housing.
Abstract:
In a vane type compressor, in which a plurality of radial vanes are supported on a compressor shaft and extended through a rotary piston, each vane is formed of two wall portions spaced from each other and two ring portions receiving bearings for supporting the vanes on the shaft. The wall portions and the ring portions of each vane are formed as a one-piece element which may be produced by stamping-out and bending a sheet metal. A supporting structure of kernels of aluminum disposed in a honeycomb manner is inserted between two wall portions of each vane.
Abstract:
A piston pump for pumping fuel in which a risk of fuel getting into the area of a shaft seal is limited. The fuel pump includes a separation chamber which is provided between a shaft seal and a fuel chamber that contains fuel. Located in the separation chamber is for instance air as a separator means, and the separation chamber communicates with an air inlet of the engine. This assures that fuel cannot get into the area of the shaft seal or escape to the outside. The fuel pump is suitable in particular for internal combustion engines in which the fuel must be delivered at high pressure.
Abstract:
A valve control arrangement for an internal combustion engine with reciprocating pistons, comprises a combustion chamber valve, a driving cam of the combustion chamber valve, a movement transmission group arranged between the combustion chamber valve and the driving cam and having a pressure chamber which is fillable with a pressure medium and unloadable from the pressure medium, an unloading conduit through which the pressure chamber is unloaded, and electrically controlled blocking valve arranged in the unloading conduit for blocking and releasing the unloading conduit and therefore coupling or uncoupling the combustion chamber valve relative to the driving cam, the blocking valve being formed as electromagnetically controlled 2/2 directional control valve.
Abstract:
A sliding vane compressor for use in refrigeration systems includes a rotatable hollow shaft, a cylindrical compressor rotor which surrounds the shaft, end covers enclosing the compressor rotor and a pair of vanes disposed within the rotor to compress a working medium entering the rotor. The compressor rotor and end covers have end faces in a contact area therebetween. At at least one of end faces of either rotor or end cover, a number of spirally-shaped grooves are formed curved in the direction of rotation of the rotor shaft. These grooves extend from the periphery of the respective end face toward the center thereof but short of said center to produce a flow preventing leakage of the working medium between the low pressure region and the high pressure region in the compressor.
Abstract:
The electrohydraulic adjusting device for actuating a device for adjusting at least one camshaft of an internal combustion engine relative to its crankshaft has two differential pistons each of which serves to adjust a camshaft (intake camshaft or exhaust camshaft). Each of the two differential pistons have a small effective piston surface which is acted upon with pressure by a pump. An independent pressure control valve is associated with each of the pressure chambers on a larger effective piston surface, via which valve, the pressure in this pressure chamber can be controlled independently of the other differential piston.
Abstract:
In a vane type compressor including a plurality of radial vanes extending from a compressor shaft through the slots in a rotary piston elastic flexible tubes are inserted in the slots and interconnected between the respective vanes and the rotary piston, which serve as sealing members on the vanes. Each flexible tube has an elongated bead engaged in a groove formed either in the vane or in the rotary piston.
Abstract:
A piston pump which is contemplated for furnishing fuel at high pressure, especially gasoline with low self-lubricating properties. To avoid drive-side wear, a rotatably drive eccentric element is provided as the actuating device for the pump piston of the piston pump, the driving motion of the eccentric element being transmitted to the pump piston via a flexible transmission element.
