摘要： An air-cooled turbine blade is provided having an airfoil shape defined by a convex suction side wall, a concave pressure side wall, a leading edge, a trailing edge, a root and a tip, each wall including an interior surface that defines an interior with the edges, root and tip. The blade includes a plurality of independent cooling circuit flow paths within the blade interior and a roughened surface. The roughened surface is formed on an interior surface of at least one of the convex suction side wall and the concave pressure side wall, the roughened surface comprising a plurality of cylindrical depressions. Each depression includes a cylindrical wall coupled to a bottom wall by a chamfered edge formed therebetween, and the roughened surface defines at least a portion of one of the flow paths of the plurality of independent cooling circuit flow paths. Methods for forming the blade are also provided.

摘要： A diffuser particle separator may be integrated into a gas turbine engine to remove corrosive dust and salt particles from the engine's core air flow. The air flow may pass over a series of particle accumulator entrance orifices, trapping particles in a particle accumulator while allowing the air flow to continue unimpeded. Since dust deposits may become molten at high temperatures, removal of dust from the core and secondary airflow may be critical for long-life superalloy and ceramic components, particularly those with small diameter air-cooling holes and thermal barrier coatings.

摘要： An impact resistance spreading helmet is disclosed. The helmet includes a frontal section configured to interface with the forehead of an individual and extend upward over the cranium; a medial section for extending over a portion of the cranium rearward of the frontal section; an occipital section for extending rearward from the medial section and configured to cover a portion of the neck of the individual; a first compressible structure disposed between the frontal section and the medial section; and a second compressible structure disposed between the medial section and the occipital section. The interface between the frontal section and the first compressible structure is disposed at an angle vertical to a force direction perpendicular to the frontal section above the forehead of the individual.

摘要： The invention provides improved methods and apparatus for control using field and control devices that provide a virtual machine environment and that communicate via an IP network. By way of non-limiting example, such field device can be an “intelligent” transmitter or actuator that includes a low power processor, along with a random access memory, a read-only memory, FlashRAM, and a sensor interface. The processor can execute a real-time operating system, as well as a Java virtual machine (JVM). Java byte code executes in the JVM to configure the field device to perform typical process control functions, e.g., for proportional integral derivative (PID) control and signal conditioning. Control networks can include a plurality of such field and control devices interconnected by an IP network, such as an Ethernet.

摘要： A concrete mold device for vertically forming a concrete panel comprises a plurality of concrete forms for collectively defining a mold cavity for receiving an uncured concrete mixture therein. The concrete forms include: a pair of opposing side wall forms configured to define side wall surfaces of the mold cavity; and a pair of opposing end wall forms, configured to define end wall surfaces of the mold cavity. An elongate lower support gasket has an upper surface configured to define a bottom surface of the mold cavity, the lower support gasket having gasket side walls configured to abut against at least a portion of each of the side wall forms to provide a seal between the lower support gasket and the side wall forms to retain the concrete mixture within the mold cavity. Reinforcing structure is associated with the lower support gasket to increase a load-bearing capacity of the lower support gasket.
