    摘要: An injector for injecting fluid from a syringe mounted thereon includes a housing, a drive member at least partially disposed within the housing and operable to engage a plunger of the syringe, and a syringe retaining mechanism associated with the housing. The syringe retaining mechanism is adapted to releasably engage the syringe regardless of the orientation of the syringe with respect to the injector. Further, the retaining mechanism is preferably movable upon rotation of the syringe between a relaxed state, where the syringe is engaged by the retaining mechanism, and a tensioned state, where the syringe is released from the retaining mechanism.

    摘要: The invention relates to a hybridization oven or incubator, and more particularly to a rotisserie and carousel/retainer system for use therein. The rotisserie includes a spindle that is readily removable from the oven, having a first end received in an annular bracket and a second end received annular bracket with an upper slot for passage of the spindle into the bracket. The carousel clip system includes a thin metal carousel plate preferably formed of a stainless steel and having a plurality of ears bent perpendicular to the carousel plate and having a detent aperture therein. A plurality of bottle retainers are removably attached to the carousel plate, the retainers having a base channel adapted to receive the ears of the carousel plate and further including a resilient arm having a detent projecting into the channel and deflectable during insertion of the ear into the channel, the detent entering the detent aperture of the ear under the bias of the resilient arm to removably retain the clip on the ear of the carousel plate.

    摘要: An apparatus for performing live cell analysis includes a stage housing and a chamber assembly. The stage housing includes a cover having a bottom surface. The chamber assembly is movably disposed below and movable relative to the cover of the stage housing and can removably receive a specimen plate holding live cells. The chamber assembly includes a chamber housing having a perimeter wall with an interior surface and an exterior surface extending from an upper end to a spaced apart lower end. The perimeter wall bounds a compartment that passes all the way through the chamber housing from the upper end to the lower end. At least one gas outlet port is formed on the chamber housing so as to be in communication with the compartment of the chamber housing to allow gas to enter the compartment. A light can be mounted to the cover to facilitate high content screening of the live cells using a microscope in bright field mode.

    摘要: A supercritical fluid extraction (SFE) system. The SFE system includes a mechanism for providing supercritical fluid for extracting analyte from a sample. The SFE system also includes an extraction vessel and a mechanism for moving the extraction vessel into fluidic communication with the SFE system so that supercritical fluid can flow through the extraction vessel and extract analyte from the sample. Preferably, the SFE system is additionally comprised of a mechanism for holding a plurality of extraction vessels and an extraction chamber assembly. In this design, the moving mechanism selectively moves an extraction vessel from the holding mechanism into the extraction chamber in fluidic communication with the SFE system. Preferably, the SFE system further includes a computer for controlling the functions of the SFE system. The computer, for instance, could automatically and sequentially control the supercritical fluid extractions of the samples within the holding mechanism. The SFE system preferably includes a mechanism for collecting analyte from the fluid with analyte. The collecting mechanism is in fluid communication with extraction chamber assembly and preferably includes a restrictor for controlling the flow of fluid with analyte to the collecting mechanism. The restrictor converts the fluid with analyte from a first supercritical pressure to a second pressure which is less than the first supercritical pressure.
